I Spent $10,000 Building an MVP.
Then I saw guys in Nigeria run almost the same business model with Telegram and Google Forms.
And honestly, their MVP was better than mine.
My startup Belonix was marketing for devtool companies:
dev creators try devtools
post about them on GitHub / Twitter
get paid
In my head, we needed a platform:
brands
creators
tasks
verification
payments
profiles
dashboard
Very serious. Very startup.
But they proved a similar model with:
Telegram group
Google Forms
manual verification
manual payouts
Simple. Ugly. Manual. Working.
That was painful.
MVP should not prove that you can build a platform.
MVP should prove that someone wants the transaction to happen.
Don’t build infrastructure before demand.
