Sudan Doctors Network: 5 killed and 12 injured, including women, in shelling of Zalingei Five civilians were killed and 12 others, including women, were injured as a result of shelling on the city of Zalingei in Central Darfur State by a drone. The wounded and injured were transferred to medical facilities to receive treatment, amid deteriorating medical and humanitarian conditions and a severe shortage of resources. The Sudan Doctors Network calls for an immediate halt to all forms of targeting of civilians by the parties to the conflict, stressing that targeting civilians and the use of civilian sites as military barracks exacerbate their suffering. The network appeals to the international community and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to provide protection for civilians and support the health sector, which is facing rapid collapse amid ongoing military operations. #Sudan_Doctors_Network
