I love how one-sided Tim Sweeney and Gabe Newell's "rivalry" is. Tim never misses as opportunity to take shots at Gabe and Valve. Meanwhile, Gabe rarely acknowledges that Tim and his Epic Fortnite Store even exist.

Let me get this straight... The Steam Deck OLED has a new price "because of the RAM" (apparently). BUT this could be Steam Machine related. Hear me out: Valve might prioritize the Steam Machine so it's cheaper, but they still want to sell the Steam Deck just not as the nr.1 prio

@ALegendaryDrops I understand that they needed to increase prices but there's no way this isn't them being greedy. They know what they've got and decided to take large margins like everybody else. Huge L. This will destroy the PC handheld market.

Exceedingly uncommon Valve L. While I understand the cost reality these companies are living in due to AI, +$300 is absurd. All these companies are going to need to find another way otherwise nobody will be able to afford this hobby.

@austinkdev @MizoChris OLED and VRR are hard to get working together without costing an arm and a leg. It's why the Legion Go 2 is so expensive. Nintendo had to choose between OLED or 120hz VRR and personally the latter is much more important.

@austinkdev @EtherAion @MizoChris It's not a downgrade at all. It's an upgrade on every aspect. The HDR minimizes the difference between the OLED and the LCD plus this LCD is more advanced than the one from the original Switch 1 and it's 1080p with 120fps vs 720p 60fps Oled +

@austinkdev @MizoChris From what I keep hearing, the only reason we got the SWOLED is because Samsung had a large quantity of old 7in. 720p OLED displays no one wanted so Nintendo swooped in and took them. Which means they likely won’t make a SW2OLED because no one’s making cheap displays that have-

@austinkdev @MizoChris They'll likely copy the Switch 1's model of having multiple versions. So we'll get a Switch 2 Lite and a Switch 2 OLED further down the line.
