@MWhitman_PhD It is a good point. We used to warn authors not to post a preprint if they intend to submit to double-blind review journals. But then we heard from many editors that authors do that anyways (because reviewers can guess the authors' identity if they really want to). So... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Does the creation of a publicly available preprint (when submitting a paper) defeat the purpose of double-blind peer review? @authorea

Any other Earth Science peeps seeing a naming issue with their preprints on Google Scholar? @ESSOpenArchive is migrating to @authorea, and the author name format as read by GS seems to be mixed up. So instead of being ‘ZI Dickeson’ it shows my name as ‘DZ Ian’ or ‘D Zachary’…
