Ok, I am honestly pissed off.
I have literally never used that term in a post ever. It’s not a nice phrase. But I am. I am really pissed off and fed up.
Why? Good question. Thought you’d never ask.
This is not a joking matter.
I am so sick of self hating Jews, of Jews repeating the mistake that Jews have always made.
This goes back to before we were even a nation. Ancient Egypt. The Israelites. We hadn’t even received the Torah or the name ‘Jews’.
We were slaves. For 210 years. And then we were freed. Miraculously. With ten plagues.
And what did we do? 80% of us said “Thanks God for all those miracles. Thanks Moses. But yea, we’re good. We’ll just stay here. We’re Egyptian. We were born here. Our parents were born here. We’ll just stay here. We’ll stay among the enemy that enslaved us for hundreds of years.”
You gotta wonder what they were smoking.
But this wasn’t unique to ancient Egypt.
Every single time throughout history when antisemitism showed its ugly face, we always had the Jews who thought that if they act just like their hosts, surely they won’t hate them.
In fact, not only did the Jews try to show how much they’re like their hosts by assimilating, they actually tried to become more assimilated than their hosts.
They tried to be more Roman than the Romans, more Greek than the Greeks, and more German than the Germans.
Guess what. It didn’t work.
Hitler didn’t care how German you are or how secular you are. He didn’t even care if you’re legally Jewish. As long as you come from Jewish descent, off to the gas chambers you went.
Many Jews went to the gas chambers wondering what they did wrong. They didn’t understand. They weren’t even Jewish in their heads. They were German. What did they do wrong?
We always need our hosts to remind us that our light is so bright and so real, we can’t just turn it off. It doesn’t work like that.
Today is no different. Think about some of the biggest haters of Israel, some of the most anti Zionist people, and what do so many of them have in common? Shocker. They’re Jews.
I mean, I’m not even talking about Neturei Karta. Those guys are just total lunatics and no one will tell you otherwise. They represent no one. But you know what they do accomplish? They give the worst of our enemies the opportunity to say “See? Even Orthodox Jews hate the Zionist entity!”
But you don’t have to go so extreme. I mean, just look at Bernie Sanders. What happened to that man that he hates Israel so much?
Who hates Bibi more than anyone? Chuck Schumer. Jewish. Shocker.
But again, you don’t have to go so far. Just scroll through some of the most anti Israel comments on social media and you’ll see names like Yuval, Ayelet, and even Moshe.
Or you can just read Haaretz for a day.
Or IfNotNow: “We are a movement of American Jews organizing our community to end U.S. support for Israel's apartheid system…”
Or Jewish Voices for Peace. Or Eli Valley who consistently tweets horribly antisemitic things, or Simone Zimmerman, or Yonah Lieberman, or Gideon Levy, or Ken Roth, or Benjamin Rubinstein, and the list just goes on and on.
What happened to these people? Why do they hate their heritage so much? Why do they have to give our enemies ammunition? Don’t they see that they are being used by our enemies to further vilify Israel?
Again, this should come as a surprise to no one. If we had Jews who helped the Nazis, why should we be surprised that we have Jews who help Hamas?
There have even been several instances of Jews spying on Israel for Iran. What the actual hell?!
But you know what? I’m going to take this a little further and upset a lot of people, but I can’t keep quiet about this anymore.
Criticizing the Israeli government or even the state of Israel is totally legitimate. No problem there. But when you enter the land of anti Zionism, aka, Israel has no right to exist, you crossed the line and betrayed your people.
And you know what? You don’t have to like the Israeli leadership. Don’t vote for them. Even take to the streets and protest if you want, but why would you give our enemies more ammo? There is such a thing as not hanging your dirty laundry for the world to see, especially in such a sensitive time in our history.
What about loyalty?
Again, you can hate Bibi. That’s fine. You can think he’s the worst PM to ever walk the earth. All good.
But why would you take to social media and say things like “Bibi built Hamas” or “Bibi doesn’t want the hostages back”??
Again, even if you believe that ridiculousness, why would you bring our country more hate?
I just don’t get it. And it bothers me more than words can describe.
These traitors who go to CNN to complain about Israel, the IDF, or Israel’s leadership, just why? Why do you have such an obsession with causing your own people harm?
Again, you don’t like the government? That’s fine. Then change it from within, but why cause more hatred of Israel amongst our enemies?
This makes me so sick to see.
And don’t give me the free speech argument. We all have opinions we don’t share publicly. Do you put every single opinion of yours on display? You can think something but that doesn’t mean you have to share it publicly.
Honestly I’d rather watch a pro Hamas protest than watch an Israeli talk on CNN about how horrible Israel is or how horrible the “Occupation” is.
Some of the things Jews have said to me or written publicly during this war are just appalling.
Israel is to blame for antisemitism?? You fool! Israel isn’t the reason for antisemitism. Antisemitism is the reason we need Israel!
Israel is responsible for 10/7? Have you hit your head? Sure, Israel’s intelligence and security forces failed on that day. But to say they did it deliberately? Are you feeling ok?
Trust me. I’ve heard all the conspiracies.
Sure there are many questions about 10/7, hard questions that need answers, but to imply that Bibi or any other Israeli knew what was going to happen and didn’t stop it? To not only think that, but to broadcast it to the world? What is wrong with you??
I really hate to draw the analogy but in this case, I believe it’s justified. Those “Jews for Palestine”? Those Jews who yell occupation all day? The ones who take to the streets to throw mud at Israel and the Jewish people? They are the kapos of the 21st century.
Yes. I mean that wholeheartedly.
Once again, we, the Jews think that if we side with our enemies; that they’ll love us. Let’s try to be even more American than the Americans! Who are the most “liberal” people in America? The Jews.
Different generation. Same mistake.
So, to all my Jewish brothers and sisters who are too ashamed to admit that they’re my Jewish brothers and sisters, here’s a spoiler for you. Your tactic won’t work. It hasn’t ever worked and it won’t work today.
You can try to separate yourself from your people. You can even trash your people and your homeland. It won’t matter to the enemy because to them a Jew is a Jew, whether they accept their Judaism or not.
So again, I’m not saying that every Jew who criticizes Bibi or the Israeli government or even the policies of the state of Israel is a self hating Jew. That would be ridiculous. And don’t you dare claim that I said that.
What I am saying is that if you are a Jew who is using his or her words or platform to cause public damage to the state of Israel and by extension to the Jewish people, then yea, you are confused as to who you are, where you came from, and where you’re going.
You should probably rethink your loyalties because siding with the enemy won’t help you when they come after the Jews. It never has.
To me, self hating Jews, the ones who start every anti Israel statement with “As a Jew…”, those people, to me, are infinitely worse than our enemies.
