A quick update on season… 25 innings pitched and 47ks! Working harder than ever this season getting ready to take on @LSUEBengalsSB!!

Starting the North Desoto tournament with 4ks in 2 innings against Mangham! Also went 3-4 at the plate with 3 doubles. We play Cedar creek tomorrow at 11 and Opelousas at 1. @LSUEBengalsSB @BentonSoftball

Got 14ks tonight against former state champs, Converse. Great game of both sides. I made a really good play to get the second to last out to end the game (the ball was a lot shorter than it seemed, the ump also blocked the action shot 😂). Feeling extra blessed right now!

Last first game with my senior buddy! Starting off the season with 22k’s in 12 innings. Thankful for an opportunity to not only pitch, but hit for my team this year!

On the more personal side of me- I would like to share: My dad, Pat Defee, was coach and motivator of mine. Throughout the years I had to find the motivation for myself and fight through the challenges in the travel ball world that I didn’t realize until he was gone- hence the recruiting process and having a catcher/ coach to help me to prepare for tournaments, as well as rebuilding an unbreakable mindset. It was recently his 53 birthday and non the less hard on me and my family. Being the second youngest, and only one having a dream to get to the next level was very difficult for a period of time- but the one thing that kept my head above water was what he taught me; there was many things but one stuck with me. “Refuse to lose- want to win the game no matter what, not everyone wants you to succeed so you have to prove it yourself”. Countless years of putting in work and a dream to play for something bigger than me came true. Thank you to all the coaches who have and will make an impact on my life and believe in me, it made a difference no one will truly understand that ultimately changed my life just by the endless support. I’m forver grateful and blessed for finding the right people when I did to help me persevere of this brutal loss and carry me to the right direction. His legacy will never be forgotten. Thank you to @Lapridegold @LSUEBengalsSB for the opportunity’s and support!🩵💛💜💛

First inning put in… 2 outs, 2-2 count, bases loaded. One of their best hitters this game. Got the k with a change up to win 6-5! Great game on both sides. Side note- Always stay excited; celebrate the little things that lead up to the big moment!!
