@WheatWatcher @dyerjonathan Only have to look at history of western driven regime change and political interference to be sceptical that any continued wars in the Middle East are not of benefit to many and certainly not the general population

@dyerjonathan True. I guess the problem is that lack of a plan from this action, and that the economy globally is likely to tank based on the flow on effects.

@AMC_DirtDollars Had it in a shed with no plastic over it for nearly 2 years, crust on top but smashed up with telehandler and spread well from belt drive, would be less comfortable with a linkage spreader

For all the fuktarts saying you don’t need diesel you should use EV. I’m pretty sure my diesel powered cruiser is not gonna burn my house to the ground tonight while I’m asleep. Wake up you Muppets @HoolyMcg @AlSattler18888

@PaulBongiorno @RossCameron4 From an Ag perspective, the appetite is there but the tech isn’t. Can’t run a modern farm with modern farming machinery without diesel. We grow more grain/mm of rain then anywhere else in the world and have low C footprint livestock producers but unfortunately we rely on diesel

@RossCameron4 The sooner tradies and heavy transport switch to EVs the better for all of us. Australia has the capacity to throw off the shackles of the oil conglomerates.

@Oscarthefarmer And today’s news is even worse. They’re just a populist fairly hard right minority party going forward. Old rural residents will still vote that way but relying on that safe vote has effectively destroyed the party going forward. Fucking disgrace that they pretend to represent us

.@SECWAR “I’ll close with scripture, drawing strength from Psalm 144: ‘Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge.’ May the Lord grant unyielding strength and refuge to our warriors; unbreakable protection to them and our homeland; and total victory over those who seek to harm them.  Amen.

Net zero? Fertiliser production stopped in Brisbane because our exorbitant domestic gas prices made it financially infeasible to continue, despite Qld being a major gas producer, one of the biggest in the world. And that my dear is because both sides of politics failed to put a domestic gas reservation policy in place, which meant domestic gas prices trebled once LNG exports started ex Gladstone and became linked to volatile international pricing. Nothing to do with Net Zero.

@shane_kable @DavidSandow1 ok. I see we've got another 2 inches forecast in the next week and its great growing conditions. I probably need to get a paddock in and established! We would be first frost mid to late May

Premier Digit is loving the wet humid week! I think we are pretty close to the furthest south in Australia for anyone growing digit - once we fully understand how to establish it in this region its going to be an absolute game changer!

@DavidSandow1 @freshy1973 Good on clay soils too just increased moisture requirements to get moving. Have some on heavy basalt and it’s incredibly productive. Survived 3 year drought and took over the paddock where large % of Bambatsi died out

@freshy1973 I’m intrigued by it and wouldn’t have mind having a go at something like it on the irrigation, but the heavy clay country down in the Riverina sounds a bit out of its depth.

@freshy1973 How far south are you Andrew? We have sold some to West of Wagga at Bulls run under pivots and some on the side of the snowys as well. Has grown for 20+ years at 950m above sea level as well. Just a shorter growing season.

@freshy1973 @DavidSandow1 My preference is late summer early autumn sowing of sub tropical grasses. As long as they are tillered before a frost they’ll often survive then you have another chance for more recruitment in the spring from the more dormant seeds.

@NoContextCounty Is it honestly that bad, both teams made some poor decisions and had some technical flaws for the majority of the wickets. Not a flatty but doesn’t look absolutely horrid either

Thank you for explaining Test cricket to me. Gotta say I was struggling. Distressed damsel: saved.
George@Socrates921

@izzywestbury Context of the match is everything in these circumstances. If Green and Smith get to parity with only 3 wickets down, we have the opportunity to grind England into the ground. Green is a test cricketer, he should know better.
