@Icalbert101 @DanielW_Kiwi Last I heard there are people coming up with alternatives, kids cartoons with Aussie VA's
English

Hey upside down folks (@averagearc and @DanielW_Kiwi) are we ever getting more bluey? Seems crazy they just didn’t put more out
English

@BenGrahamUK Might be a silly question, but don't all the deer still belong to the crown?
English

Britain is spending £460 million building a 60 metre wildlife bridge over the A417 dual carriageway in Gloucestershire, for animals to cross.
That’s a £7.6 million per metre deer crossing.
It would be funny if it wasn't our tax payer money being wasted, meanwhile real problems remain unfunded.

@NatHalberstadt 100% agree, that's why I've removed Wifi and Bluetooth from what I'm working on.
Firstly, not everything needs to be 'smart' or connected
Secondly, if you truly need wifi just use a SPI or I2C module.
English

bridge autist here, ideally the wildlife bridge should connect on both sides, otherwise it's probably fraudulent.
(And if it only connects to one side, it's just a shit pier.)
here are some examples local to me.

“I hope that strange panhandler doesn’t approach my beautiful family.” the exhausted fathers thought.

I love how zoomers seem to think it’s totally normal to walk around with their bare midriffs showing in the middle of the day in public. Like, no… anyway, here’s the attention you ordered!
English

@therealcarlin If you went with aluminum instead of steel then you could weigh it down with a internal bean bag or something.

This is my thermal stack for the LED board. I want it to be as bright as possible, so I am aiming for 1200lm in THEORY.
I am sure it'll be a fair bit less than that, all losses considered
The mild steel is not a great thermal conductor, but I need that mass at the base for weight. The plastic wall has the largest thermal resistance though, so not too concerned.
I will only know once I can test it.

@Swole_Medic suggested products get weird sometimes, to prove it, I've opened the site on a new browser, this is at the top of the homepage

English

Conceptually, AliExpress is such a wacky site
The pitch:
- Let's make a website of nearly everything, but the price you see is not the price you pay (it's more).
- Let's show the customer a price of $0.01 for shits and giggles, but show them the actual price (minus tax) when it's in the cart.
- Let's have a 90% off sale, but if you put another item in your cart the cheaper item only gets discounted, but if you make 2 orders, then both get discounted.
- Let's just un check items from customers carts when they aren't paying attention.
- Let's show bikini's to the customer looking at fasteners, just in case they're a gooner.
- Limit one per customer.

English

@averagearc I kneel.
Also yeah it can get weird, I had to explain to my fiance the purchasing game you have to play to get good deals.
The random bikinis will never get old 😆
I just got 50 PCB drill bits for $5 so id jump through whatever hoops they want
English

@averagearc Sounds like you need to make an account. It’s honestly a goated site
