Today, Ukrainian commander “Madyar” also sent a very direct message to Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko: “Think carefully, Aleksandr Grigoryevich.” This was more than rhetoric. It was a warning about what could happen if Belarus fully joins Russia’s war against Ukraine. Ukrainian intelligence has repeatedly suggested that such discussions are taking place behind closed doors. And after today’s massive Ukrainian drone strikes deep inside Russia — including targets in and around Moscow itself — the message was impossible to ignore. According to reports from Ukrainian military channels, the scale of the operation was significant. The point being made was simple: Ukraine now possesses long-range strike capabilities powerful enough to inflict devastating damage on any country entering the war directly. The warning circulating in Ukrainian military circles was blunt: ▪️ Within 24 hours, Belarus’s oil-refining industry could be crippled. ▪️ Within several days, major power plants and substations could be knocked offline, leaving large parts of the country without electricity. ▪️ Within a week, much of Belarus’s transportation and industrial infrastructure could face severe disruption. In other words, the cost of entering the war could become catastrophic for Belarus itself. Madyar’s message to Lukashenko was phrased almost like a line from an old Cold War spy film: “It’s important to know how to enter a conversation — but even more important to know how to exit it. Lukashenko, pay attention to the future.” For many Ukrainians, the message to Belarus is straightforward: stay out of the war. Because once escalation begins, the consequences may last decades.
