I took him on solo, eventually, and I think the fight was about eight minutes long.
Depending on your build, some buffs help (deflecting tear helped me). Also, buffing during the phase changes helped too.

The nails jammed into the cleric beast's thigh will always be one of my favorite details in bloodborne. Personally love the idea that the cleric instinctively reached out for whatever nearby even resembled a blood vial in a last attempt to heal itself of the encroaching beasthood

I love that Dark Souls makes you earn fast travel
Hours spent dragging myself through places like the Depths and Blighttown, learning the interconnected world and finally making it to the city of gods, facing the hardest challenge yet

I can’t believe jabronies are still out here recommending people play DS3 first. I get from a gameplay view why they do, but you fundamentally alter your DS3 experience negatively this way imo. It’s entire story and lore is contextless without experiencing DS1/DS2
