We have FlipKart. We have Meesho. We have Zomato. We have Swiggy. We have Zepto. We have JioMart. We have Rapido. We have Ola. These apps are used heavily on daily basis. They can compete with any international products in terms of traffic. Point is we always feel an Indian product if launched to be instantly popular. That will never happen. To replace Gmail or Whatsapp or YouTube, you need entire ecosystem to be built around that.

There will be 50% job cuts in Bengaluru and other parts of India due to AI. Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar told this a few days back. Meanwhile Nandan Nilekani is suggesting India shouldn't waste time in building AI models. Tech giants like TCS and Infosys are recruiting freshers, but have reduced hiring experienced people a lot. India's IT market is not self reliant. It's highly depend on overseas market. At this time, what should be India's strategy? - Focus more on AI usage? Or build own AI models? - Focus more on AI powered apps? Or building AI products?

I see this as next hot thing as traders have one more way of remaining distracted… and also hoping of making big in life. As per zerodha almost 91% of traders lose money trading equities. As per wsj 0.1% of the accounts on Polymarket have earned 67% of the profits. I am firmly of the view that inspite of 👇👇👇data.. polymarket trading volumes will continue to grow. I don’t understand why people don’t buy exchanges/ discount brokers stocks which allow this trading rather than them trading on these exchanges.

If your financial advisor told you Nifty gives you 12% CAGR, they lied to you. If your retirement planning is based on Nifty giving 12% CAGR, you're in for a rude shock. Returns in next 15-20 years are likely to be same or lower than the past. Plan wisely.

Did you know why Nuclear energy is making a comeback? One kilogram of enriched uranium (4% U-235) produces roughly 160,000 kWh of electricity. For comparison: 1 kg of coal → 3 kWh 1 kg of natural gas → 15 kWh 1 kg of diesel → 12 kWh This is not a marginal improvement. It is a 50,000x advantage over coal by mass. It's why one standard 700 MWe PHWR in India replaces a 2,800 MW coal plant equivalent on annual energy.

@soicfinance Nuclear is good for the environment But don't overstate the facts How much energy is required to extract and process 1kg coal vs uranium should also be considered There are improvements no doubt but not 50000X

German population pyramid: There are twice as many people in their 60s as children born today. Grandparents won’t have enough grandchildren to inherit and use their properties. One must be crazy to invest in residential property in Germany. The same in Spain, Italy and Poland.

Govt should offer a platform where people can get information on taxes. I have simple questions? 1. How much tax is collected between new & old regime? 2. How much tax is collected from new tax payers? 3. Tax paid by salaried vs non salaried? Why is it so hard to get answers.

Plasma stoves are great for viral reels. But have zero practical use case in real life. Here's the math: A plasma stove costs around INR 25k to 30k in China (~50k in India). An induction stove costs 3k to 5k retail price in india that’s a 10x delta A plasma stove uses 2 to 3.5 units/hour. Daily cooking takes 30 to 90 mins. That is 1 to 4+ units for the same food. And it is not even efficient. Plasma loses energy as heat, light, and air. Real efficiency is 40-60%. Induction gives 85-90%. Same food but much less power. This is the real problem: You pay extra to waste your own power. And this the problem with these gimmicky products. They look cool. But they do not make sense. If we want real change, we need to think practical. Swadeshifying is not about fancy tech. It is about what works for millions of homes. It’s about what stops multi millions dollars of imports We need to think about: - What people will buy? - What saves money every day? - What runs without problems? Because scale does not come from hype. It comes from things that work daily. Fix the basics first. Real change will follow. JAI HIND 🇮🇳
Pralhad Joshi@JoshiPralhad

Yesterday, an Indian company demonstrated an imported stove that uses electricity to generate flame-like burners, similar to LPG, for cooking. I was truly impressed by this innovative technology and would like to see Indian manufacturers adopt and scale it domestically. When combined with @PMSuryaGhar, which enables electricity generation through solar power, this innovation could be a game changer in reducing dependence on LPG.

If China’s population were 900 million instead of 1.4 billion ( a point raised by some experts) the world total would be roughly 500 million lower, so India would account for closer to 1 in 5–6 people on Earth. India already has about a 17–18% share of global population, and with a median age near 28 and roughly 70% under age 50, it has one of the largest working‑age cohorts on the planet—well positioned to support an ageing Western and East Asian population. I am of the view that within 5 years, G-7 countries will have Indian origin soldiers and Indian origin healthcare workers immigration pathways to obtain citizenship in these countries.
