Big wigs from the North and the East have come to pay homage to him. The acknowledgment of his greatness is massive. I hear the President will be in town for his coronation, that cements what we all have known of Adewolu – his pre-eminence. Tomorrow, We lock down the city

Diary Entry _____________ Tomorrow, our city gets a new king - Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja. In ways that defy words, the city is agog with excitement. Downtown Ibadan, as we speak, is a spectacle. From Béèrè to Yemetu, there are songs, chants and rejoicing. The love for this man

THROWBACK ________ This Cultural Centre, Mokola, Ibadan nearing the completion of its construction sometime in 1977. The elegant cultural edifice was built on one of the seven hills of Ibadan as a means to generate IGR through culture and tourism. (Ibadan, c.1977)

Diary Entry ___________ Around 2017, one of the first set of people who followed Awa Ti Ibadan got married. In the first few weeks (and months) of their marriage, the couple would post their pictures together - husband & wife. They'd make goofy faces and their and-co outfits.
