The goal of the campaign was to collect and preserve videos and images that would provide a glimpse of humanity and our planet in the early 21st century for future generations. The campaign received over 1,200 submissions from all over the world, and a selection of these submissions is now stored in the Arctic World Archive on Svalbard, Norway.

The Arctic Code Vault in AWA protects over 6,000 repositories from GitHub, the world’s largest open source code repository. Among its treasures are the source codes for the #Linux and #Android operating systems, #Python, #Ruby, #Rust, #NodeJS, V8, #React, and #Angular.
