great article "[...] almost all of the tokenized stocks are using Alpaca as a broker. So -compared to traditional flow- the traditional tokenization just brings another step, and increases the complexity."

Malda will change money markets: - Smarter risk pricing: borrowers pay base rates plus risk premiums based on collateral and leverage, rewarding safer positions and compensating providers for higher risks - Unified accounting & liquidations: a single balance sheet via ZK proofs enforces global solvency constraints (no bridges) and prevents cascading failures - Easier experimentation (biggest deal): add new assets, RWAs, or strategies without fragmenting liquidity

Here’s an interesting direction ZK might take this year. AI inference and ZK proving are already priced by hard metrics — throughput, uptime, proofs/sec, verifier cost — yet today this execution layer is economically underutilized. Networks like Bittensor, prover markets such as Boundless, and zkVM ecosystems like SP1 expose machine work onchain, but capital still treats that output as non-collateralizable. The unlock is obvious: price execution as a continuous stream, not a token — which let machines secure credit while they keep producing. After all, the biggest period of growth for mankind was after credit was introduced to the world. When throughput, reliability, and SLA breaches define risk, ZK and AI networks stop depending on treasuries and market cycles and start scaling directly on hardware. At that point, selling equity or tokens to fund compute becomes an anti-pattern.

The Joy of Cryptography is finally on bookshelves! Thanks to @mitpress for supporting the adventure. The book will eventually be completely open-access, but for now the first 3 chapters are available at joyofcryptography.com, featuring some fun interactive elements.

After visiting China I don’t really care for the degeneracy and dysfunction of the US anymore. Prior to China’s rise, I and other probably had the implicit assumption that democracy had intractable issues that lead to political polarization and inefficiency. That’s not true.

@VersantC @Linahuaa Exactly @VersantC - everything else is just noise, the former will prevail Especially if you’ve been to China / working in or with Chinese companies, you understand that the gap is a lot larger and it’s hard to find original thinkers in CN

@Linahuaa The former is what creates deep economic moats and allows returns on capital differentials between the countries to remain high. Its not just about history, its about why China structurally disincentivizes this thinking, from a young age. The "rebellious mind"

USA has 6 million people with 130+ IQ China has 90m people with 130+ IQ. Americans go into law, feminism, business, consulting, banking, OnlyFans, and STEM Chinese go into STEM HARD. Individually, IQ+hard work + honest work may not seem like much, but when scaled up to civilisation level, it just GAPS HARD. China WILL dominate the future. And it will do it earlier and harder than even tankies would expect. And it's inevitable.
