@Blue_Footy Other teams around him kept improving massively tho, back in the beginning like 18/19 season small teams had 0 idea how to play against a Pep team and kept getting obliterated then came the modern Brightons and Bournemouths and what ifs and they made each game competitive again.

I don't think Manchester City will dominate the Premier League any time soon after Pep. I think we are back to the era of anyone can win.
In my opinion, Pep made a mistake of dumping what had served him well. He panicked, switched it up and never recovered.
The moment he shifted from technical, hard working footballers he used sign to dominate possession, press high and create a lot of chances, to less technical physical bullies, he lost it.
He used to dominate physical teams with xavi, Iniesta, Aguero, Silva, Villa, Pedro, Messi, etc, small technical players but they pressed so intense out of possession.
Old Pep bought and sold Ibrahimovic. He wouldn't have worked with Haaland. He made that change to sacrifice high pressing for the goals. Old Pep wouldn't sign Donnarumma and weakened his buildup or Semenyo just to add goals from the winger, despite not technically built for small space possession football.
He completely lost his DNA. I wouldn't say he ran out of ideas and started doing things he normally wouldn't do. I think he felt Arsenal as a physical force and tried to match them. He started making these changes as Arsenal started gathering momentum.
But he's not good at dark, ugly, physical football. Even if he keeps trying to go the Arteta route, he will keep finding it hard. He needed to go back to what he's good at, which is building a team like PSG. Unfortunately, it's over but it's good for the Premier League. It's a wide open league again.
Teams are beginning to figure out Arsenal’s corner-kick routines, so I wouldn't say they will dominate the league. It's anybody's league next season.
If Chelsea do the right things, they could take advantage. It won't be that difficult to win the Premier League next season. It could be a 75-80 points League.

@nsubugakasozi @ayeejuju Probably the most accurate way to put this.
Like there are two answers (possibilities) to the question ‘Will I get struck by lightning today?’ yes or no. But that doesn’t make the chances 50%. They don't hold the same weight

Delap's performances starting to make sense😭

Who deserves more/less money for next season?
English

@Ole_is_right So, if Palace wins UECL there are going to be 9 English sides competing in Europe?
English

English football’s relationship to Europe is incredible. Because UEFA gives England 8 European spots— almost half the fucking league— and the premier league gives them Bournemouth, a newly-promoted Sunderland, and Brighton, while Chelsea— the defending “world champions”— stay at home.

The Premier League season is complete.

@UtdHarvey37 @FrankEra_ Nah Mou did like 81 one i think in 17/18 but I can't remember anyone else pushing past 70

@WelBeast @AliceTalksFooty Technically Carrick hasn't even had the chance to win the league
English

@AliceTalksFooty Carrick has never won the premier league title
English

They should be the big 6 not Tottenham.
Aston Villa@AVFCOfficial
A brand-new addition to the trophy cabinet 🏆
English

@CarefreeUlster This (alsmost) same Aston Villa team cooked Bayern, Juventus and PSG in UCL but yeah "bang average" 🤣
English

European trophies being won by bang average English sides shows how much they fucked up the new format
Football on TNT Sports@footballontnt
When Unai Emery joined Aston Villa in 2022, they were just one point above the relegation zone. Four years later, he's just delivered their first European trophy in 44 years 👏

@Alexaxfcb Barca and United have whole classes graduating together and winning stuff 🤣🤦🏻♂️

Aparte de Lamine y Saka, hay algún jugador que se haya formado en la cantera de su club y haya conseguido el éxito?

There is no reason United should not have this team for next season
Zoba@Czooba
If we’re serious about winning the PL and UCL, this should be Man United XI next campaign
English

This goal doesn't get the hype it deserves, man.
Just look at Bellingham and Rüdiger's reaction 😭😭

Quote with Real best goal of the 2025-26 season.
English

@GGMU_Daily @utdreport Absolutely not. High wages and we're never moving forward signing these elite strikers at their dawn.
English

Hear me out…
Lewandowski on a 1-year deal.
37 years old but still banging in 25+ goals a season. Short-term fix that gives us a proven finisher while the young strikers develop.
I’m a die-hard Red and I know age is a risk, but the guy is a machine.
Who’s your wild “hear me out” signing this summer? Drop it below 👀

@MRFUNCTION20884 @olarinre40 @NorthBankNadim Also please don't deceive yourself, we were never ever getting those results against City and Arsenal back to back with Amorim still there. It took him over a year to win two random back to back games. He wasn't beating the two best teams in the league
English

@ay_mJonny @olarinre40 @NorthBankNadim blame amorim all you want but its irrelevant the only thing matters is that you didnt play all four fronts focusing on one competition when arsenal, city, liverpool even chelsea were playing four competitions is why you had success after january and mentioned were fatigued.
English

United were 13pts behind Arsenal when Amorim was sacked.
United are 14pts behind Arsenal today.
But whatever you say, Alice 😂
Alice@AliceTalksFooty
Wonder if Arsenal will give Amorim a winners’ medal 🤣 Honestly think if we’d sacked him earlier and brought Carrick in, United could actually have pushed Arsenal for the title.
