「 ✨Vox–2–Nite.ᐟ✨」
I absolutely believe his passion was genuine! I think it's especially clear he loves the industry and not JUST the attention (though obviously he adores that too) because after he gets the variety show host job, we see him moving into a behind the scenes/network executive position alongside keeping his host gig (we can see he's still hosting the show in the 'God of Entertainment' newspaper picture). As many of you know I'm a believer in neurodivergent Vox/Vincent, and I tend to think of the television industry as a whole as being one of his special interests. I think he would get a genuine thrill from reading the business reports, going after new potential advertisers, looking at broader cultural trends to try to predict what the audience may want next (like shark week!), etc. Not to mention, he would absolutely outsource work he DIDN'T want to do himself. He WANTS to do it all himself, as he has a lot of trust in his own visions and intellect. Of course, he absolutely enjoys being a showman, that's very important to him! I posted this a long time ago but I genuinely believe the "non-evil" version of Vox would be a lot like the P.T. Barnum character from "The Greatest Showman". I think he preferred TV over other industries (like the film industry) because it was THE emerging medium of the day, giving him maximum ability to shape it around his own ideas, instead of having to play by pre-established rules. So, both angles are important to him! But I wouldn't say one is more important than the other. Thanks for such a great question!! 💙🌟💙

The fact that vox having complicated feelings for alastor is so blatant and constant is so special to me. It's nice to have popular queer media where the homoerotic tension between enemies is a feature not a bug 🥹✨️

you can literally wake up one day and be like “actually, fuck everything ab my past and the self-sabotaging identity i had” and decide to live an entirely new life and be some1 who always fucking wins. it doesn’t take a feeling or breakthrough moment or epiphany. only a decision.
