All Americans should be horrified and outraged by the brazen terrorist attacks on Israel and the slaughter of innocent civilians. We grieve for those who died, pray for the safe return of those who’ve been held hostage, and stand squarely alongside our ally, Israel, as it dismantles Hamas. As we support Israel’s right to defend itself against terror, we must keep striving for a just and lasting peace for Israelis and Palestinians alike.

Can someone please explain to me like I’m 5 why DARE still exists as universal prevention in our public schools when we know it has adverse effects? Are there any good de-implementation papers out there re: DARE?

In a surprising turn of events, @KylieJenner has become my favorite sister.

@mfktherapy I give them 30 minutes. They have to cover main points, connect the reading to the class session/prev session, and facilitate some kind of discussion or activity with two prompts/questions. I make pairs and assign readings randomly.

In my policy class, each week, a pair of students are responsible for teaching/facilitating learning related to one reading from the week. It has been so fun to watch! Students get really creative and push out of their comfort zone. I’m always so impressed!

@chrisgray40 @arthur_spirling That can be an aspect of the tenure grind that can be problematic, but it’s also part of the flexibility benefit. Perhaps we have time commitments like children to focus on during some of the traditional work hours, so we shift our work to times that work better for our lives.

I see we’re at the stage of anti-academia in here that we’re now claiming with a straight face that it offers less time flexibility and intellectual freedom *on average* than non-academic jobs. OK.

@LB_Klein He can really fall victim to “both sides”-ing issues and come across very poorly. He also isn’t as liberal as people want him to be.
