@SimonGroom2 It’s happened before! We’ve got a spare tile - just using this one to test other methods instead of potential ruining another one. More tiles are on order also :)

@aylabr This is probably obvious to you, but don't flip your tile over if you don't want to permanently damage your furnace blocks. Order a new tile now. I used to be responsible for an experimental glasswork muffle furnace just like this, and it got ruined.

Today went well in the lab… 😩

Round 3 was better - 1/2 as much sample and fluxes. Have ordered bigger crucibles

@SimonGroom2 Probably too much stuff in the crucible. First one is where I heated up too fast, second one slower heating but still overloaded crucible

@Saffybonbon Probably too much stuff in too small a crucible. Bigger crucibles are on the way!
