Hey this is actually a good one to bring up: I was front row in medical school when they told us long-acting opioids like OxyContin were safe and non-addictive. Pain was the ‘fifth vital sign’ and you were being paternalistic if you didn’t treat your patient’s pain with safe and effective opioids. This didn’t come from pharma propaganda - it came from medical faculty who were eager to evangelize. We then saturated the country with prescription opioids and when we realized our mistake and pulled back heroin and then fentanyl took their place.

@FrustratedPharm @basofoperations It’s so sad that it’s bad enough to be that way. I’ll never understand how many floaters seemingly don’t care. If my name is on it, I’m doing my best to leave it better than I found it. And if I can’t, I’m staying late,if permitted, to do more. I want to make it better, not worse

@basofoperations The only reason most of these pharmacists have agreed to it is because it's better than having to clean up after a floater pharmacist. But working that much in conditions like this is gonna burn them out quickly.

Every week or so, I find out yet another pharmacist in the district has quit. And every time I find out why, the answer is always the same: the district manager and their overbearing metric zeal. Most of the pharmacists left are working >40 hrs (w/o any overtime pay). #burnedout

@__miralaluna You get yours back yet ? Just stumbled upon “Ahad the CPA” on tik tok and he gives a bunch of helpful info- apparently they’re being really careful about identity theft this year and it’s slowing things up- some may even have to verify ID via mail!

@aymaymayyy Same for me! After filing I’ve never had to wait longer than a week. I had to amend it though because something came in the mail late, but I did it the day after I originally filed so I didn’t think it would affect anything. I haven’t called though, I hate the wait times lol

@sabrevaya 🥺. I knew right away. I lost my grandfather to bulbar ALS in December. It came on so quickly. He was so healthy and full of life. That drug was a glimmer of hope at extending the life within him. Their care team was wonderful. I’m so sorry. I am grieving with you 🫂 #fuckals
