Solidity Interview Q: If you do a delegatecall to a contract and the opcode CODESIZE executes, which contract size will be returned?
It will return the size of the callee’s code — not the caller’s
delegatecall changes:
- storage context
- msg.sender
- msg.value
But it does not change:
- the address whose code is being executed
When you delegatecall into contract B, the EVM executes B’s bytecode, just using the caller’s storage
So when CODESIZE runs, it measures:
- the size of the currently executing code segment
Which is B’s runtime code size
During a delegatecall, CODESIZE returns the size of the contract whose code is being executed (the implementation), not the proxy’s size

for someone who was always the top of the batch in every aspect, failing JEE twice that too in covid when multiple attempts were given, was the biggest academic setback;
i couldn't afford hefty private colleges & had to settle with a local tier-3 college in mumbai that i moved out for because of the city exposure;
4 years back, even after being completely lost and underconfident, i still had this one thought that i'll never sit for mediocre campus placements & find something on my own, no matter how hard it is;
cut to today, i finally am free of the rat race, my family supports me & even though financial freedom & stability will take a while, i am happy with what i am doing & that's all that matters;
to everyone out there thinking they're failing, don't stop, all the dots will connect, eventually & life's rewards won't stop too!

🎂 Today is my 1 year work anniversary as a SR!
In that time, I have:
- 💰 Earned ~$200k
- 🏆 Won 1st place on 2 audit competitions
- 🪐 Joined the Cantina fellowship
- 🤝 Landed my first solo client
- 👨⚖️ Became a judge
- 🧠 Completed my first Spearbit audit
- 🐛 Found my first bug in a live contract
- 🧑💻 Learned my first programming language (solidity)
- 🦀 ... and my second (rust)
- 🍻 Made lots of friends (and just a few enemies)
All while being able to:
- 👩❤️👨 Spend quality time with my wife
- 👨🍼 Be a present father for my son
- 🐶 Walk the dog twice a day, every single day
