@Coach_Macella @balkwhisperer So…1 out to start. Runner from third crosses home. Then batter runner abandons. There are now 2 outs. Other runners are no longer forced. You appeal to 3rd…does it matter if that runner is out? The runner from third scored before the appeal.

@b3ko @balkwhisperer Yes if he’s out 1st the forces are off. That’s why you appeal 3rd 1st. 2nd 2nd then the batter runner at 1st.

@Coach_Macella @balkwhisperer Let me rephrase the question. If the out for the batter runner abandoning is the 2nd out it removes the force for the other runners. Meaning as long as the runner from third scores before the appeal the run counts. Is that correct?

Athletes: My best advice for this upcoming school year/season? Take ownership of your actions. Help develop a “no excuse” team culture.

@CoachWheel Working lots of skills and they didn’t even know it. Adjust the runs and outs needed based on skill level. Clear the bases every three outs if you want. Also working on making catches when the pressure is one, etc.

@CoachWheel This is great. We played whiffle ball fly balls when my kids were young. Kids start with X runs. Catch is an out. Hits the glove but drops is a single. Drops and not touched, double. Get Y outs before I score more runs. Two kids they also need to work on communication.

@GowagsKyle Another great video! I’d say a few things… If parents coach away from the field I think it a) needs to be inline with what the coaches is teaching. It can’t be “coach said x and he’s an idiot, do y instead”. And it depends on the kid (and the parent). It won’t work for everyone.
