The conversation surrounding public speech is always interesting. Each side pointing the finger and accusing the other of double standards. While you guys are mad at Kerr and Pop for saying their feelings, the current administration is threatening to take away airwave access to networks that broadcast things they don’t like while saying they support free speech. That would be a double standard. Saying one thing while supporting another. Part of what makes America great is free speech. You can say what you feel is right. And the government doesn’t get to punish you for that. And while every person is fully entitled to their own views and religious outlook, their employer has the option to support that message, look the other way or make a decision that most likely supports their bottom line. That isn’t a double standard. The Bulls are a business. Supporting a player who has negative views about their paying customers, that would not be good business. Not all Christian folks still support the view that same sex relationships are wrong or an abomination. In fact, most don’t. Kid Rock says what he wants to say and folks get to make a business decision to pay to see him play. It’s a business decision not a double standard.
