We have witnessed the obscene accumulation of wealth - cars, mansions, designer clothes, lavish parties, and the brazen use of money to buy political power. financed through Parliament’s own budget, with the active complicity of many MPs. Parliaments are meant to guard the public purse and to hold governments accountable. Ours has become a den of thieves, no longer a House of the People. It is time to restructure Parliament, reduce its size and cost, tighten financial controls, and restore public trust.

I am no fan of Anita Among and her primitive accumulation of wealth. However, something about her downfall is worrying-the selective application of the law, the forced stepping down, the army/CDF in politics, the anointment of a successor Speaker, and the public humiliation!

Can you imagine this level of abuse of office? It now turns out that Anita Among spent 532 million shillings of our tax payers' money to fence and purchase compound lights for her private home in Bukedea District! (For context, Bukedea is one of the poorest districts in Uganda.) It also turns out that Anita Among and her deputy Tayebwa spent another 591 million shillings to purchase two generators for their private homes! Very sadly, while this plunder was going on, the leaders we sent to check and stop it were bribed into silence and joined the looters! This madness will only come to an end when WE THE PEOPLE rise to the occasion and put an end to the Museveni dictatorship!

My thoughts exactly... AAA is a distraction from the bigger and more pressing issue.

Just to be clear: AAA is not falling because of her corruption. Otherwise, all thieves would be falling – they are soo many and there is just so much evidence if CID had motivation to. AAA is falling because (a) she angered someone deep in the deep state & (b) a major transition is happening. She might not useful to the new sheriffs in town. Corruption or lacking refinement has never been reason for anyone’s downfall under brother Museveni.

If Muhoozi Kainerugaba ever becomes president of Uganda, it won’t be business as usual. He grew up surrounded by wealth and privilege, so he’s unlikely to be impressed by money or shady deals to accumulate more wealth. He is an heir expected to inherit a $13 billion estate.

A lesson learned: The rule of law protects everyone, precisely because the drone does not discriminate.

At the residence of Anita Among in Kololo, meals are all served by Serena Hotel’s outside catering. Of, when it’s time for lunch/dinner, a Serena food van drives in & everyone present at the time is treated to a full buffet by Serena Hotels! But there’s no money to pay teachers!

AAA moved with President M7 in all the districts in Uganda during campaign period,she introduced the trick of removing opposition candidates from the registers to pave a way for NRM candidates to win unopposed and made sure that M7 gets the biggest percentage. She promised to weaken the opposition which she’s done. But now she’s being thrown away like a frog.😂😳 What can we learn from this ?
