@TDBank_US @AaronNickey Sent you a DM. Took a while.😊 New York law is changing here. There is no obligation for a bank to alert existing customers of a new product with lower fees, but more general law emphasizes a bank’s contractual duty to provide fair play and not unfairly telling some but not all.

@RepDonBacon @barco_jame42817 @SMO_VZ @Mike_Pence As of early 2026, Ukraine faces a severe military crisis with an estimated 150,000 to 200,000 soldiers reported as AWOL or having deserted, and approximately 2 million men evading the draft. Google AI overview.

@RepDonBacon @barco_jame42817 @SMO_VZ @Mike_Pence Search on “Ukrainian desertions 2026” Ukraine's military says it's facing a growing problem of desertion. Experts estimate approximately 150,000 service members may be missing from their units as the war grinds through its fifth year. PBS Newshour 4/7/26.

“This is a moment to increase support for Ukraine so it can keep the pressure on Russia. Only the prospect of greater losses and potential defeat will cause Mr. Putin to abandon his imperial ambitions in Ukraine—and in Western Europe.” Is Ukraine Turning the Russian Tide? wsj.com/opinion/is-ukr…

@CyrusYates7 @McFaul And you take his word on nothing. Was not Yanukovych 90% popular with portions of east Ukraine, was he not ousted by west Ukraine supporters in an illegal impeachment? Did the west change the rules on removing a president? People have to know another side exists.

@b_keating @McFaul Haha you're actually attempting to defer to AI. You truly are a complete and utter idiot. By all means keep attempting to convince people to take Russia's word on everything. Putin even let slip the words "conquered territory" during a public briefing. You truly are subhuman :)

Once in power, Putin cut taxes for wealthy elites, consolidated media & sought to shape the electoral process. Sound familiar? Some parallels are hard to ignore. The difference? The US has strong checks, an active civil society & deep democratic traditions. That gives me hope.

@Portettianucho @RepDonBacon @barco_jame42817 @SMO_VZ @Mike_Pence Did Putin not warn against retaliation if Ukraine struck deep inside? Why did Biden initially red line these strikes? With Zelensky’s army unable to dislodge the occupying forces, he has begun the risky business of these strikes, which tease Russia into greater retaliation.

@RepDonBacon @barco_jame42817 @SMO_VZ @Mike_Pence It continues to puzzle how two thirds of the Ukrainian men of fighting age had no desire to defend their freedom and democracy against an invading army. This insinuates that Ukraine’s policies are more in books than in the street.

@Avaryja @BohuslavskaKate The allied invasion of Europe originally planned for 1942 but delayed two years due to a fear of heavy casualties. By 1944 the Allies had complete air superiority. The European war many say was decided when the German 6th Army was surrounded and surrendered on 3 February 1943.

Scholz: Putin will not win the war in Ukraine. We could go through all his aims, he will not reach a single one. This war made no sense, but Putin started it anyway because we should never underestimate nonsense [brain] activities of powerful men. And his war costs Russia a lot.

@Avaryja @BohuslavskaKate Gemini: Combat deaths in the European Theater of World War II were massive, with an estimated 9 to 10 million+ military personnel killed. The Eastern Front (Soviet-German conflict) accounted for over 80% of all combat, with roughly 30 million total deaths, including civilians.

@front_ukrainian I’ll give credit to Trump for something: when he talks about the need to end the war his first sincere thought is of ending the carnage and death at the front. Everyone else is off playing some political board game in which the soldiers are mere pawns.

❗️Zelenskyy harshly criticizes the Trump administration and is distancing himself from the United States. After the 99% cut in American aid, Kyiv no longer views Washington as a reliable partner or mediator in negotiations with Russia. Ukraine has significantly ramped up its own arms production (especially drones), has become much more self-sufficient, and therefore now feels able to publicly criticize the US in ways it previously avoided.

@McFaul And to you, the correct values are to sacrifice the lives and limbs of half a million young Ukrainian men to keep the Donbas part of Ukraine. The Donbas itself if given the chance would likely have chosen independence after seeing its oppsition illegally oust their man.

Americans care about more than making money. Millions of Americans also care about values, even in foreign policy. Trump does not understand this basic fact about American society.

@BohuslavskaKate @NotHoodlum Russia has made it exceptionally clear that it does not want Ukraine in NATO. NATO, after all, was created for the destruction of Russia. And NATO without the U.S. is weakest in nuke warfare, as it lack the flexibility of low yield warheads that allow for more tactical options.

TAYLOR: NATO should be very interested in having Ukraine join. Ukraine has shown that it can stop Russians. That proves Ukraine can do exactly what NATO is designed to do: stop, deter, and fight Russians if they attack. So NATO would be much stronger with Ukraine as a member.
