@Brodiesmith21 Is there a certain hole you have in mind? Because unless the backstop is a hill, then whatever is forming it can also be used to scare people away from overthrowing the hole.

So many people are misunderstanding what I’m saying. I’m talking about holes that have backstops behind the basket. Not a fan of discs that would end up well long but hit a tree and give an easy birdie putt.

@Brodiesmith21 Bad take trees and bushes also provide putting obstacles. Imagine a completely empty 60ft circle around the basket. Throw a good shot you have a putt throw a bad shot roll the dice..

@Brodiesmith21 So… If the disc flies past the basket and lands behind, say, a hedge… Then the hedge isn’t behind the basket anymore. Now it’s an obstacle. As it should be.

Might be a disc golf hot take, but there shouldn't be anything behind the basket. For example, trees, tall grass, bushes, really anything that could stop a disc. Bad shots that have no speed control should be flying past the basket and should never get rewarded for hitting something.
