@LauraLoomer I agree he should die butttt death penalty cases in almost every instance cost us more. The appellate process takes much longer, there are more avenues of appeal, and by the time someone exhausts all of their appeals we’ve likely spent close to two decades housing them anyways.

How come Jose Ibarra wasn’t given the death penalty? The daily cost of keeping a prisoner alive in a US prison amounts to almost $60,000 per year. Jose Ibarra is 26. The average life span for Latino men is 73.2 years. Do the math. Jose Ibarra could live at least another 47 years… or more. If he does, US taxpayers would be spending over $2.82 MILLION to keep Jose Ibarra alive in jail, even though he’s an ILLEGAL ALIEN MURDERER!!! This is outrageous. We have thousands of illegal alien murderers and rapists in our country waiting to victimize more Laken Rileys. Why should we have to pay for this? Illegal alien murderers who are ordered to have the death penalty should receive it within 1 week of being found guilty. @DOGE needs to cut the massive waste of resources we spend on giving illegal criminals in jail food and shelter.

@biancaa_molina Which is exactly why the real slap in the face is to all the people who spend the thousands of dollars and the years of their lives working through the mountains of paperwork just to watch others come for free, do none of the work & then be given government handouts.

not to mention how hard it is to obtain legal status/citizenship that takes many yrs and thousands of dollars that some ppl do not just have in order to do it the “right way”

being latino and seeing the struggle ur parents went thru just to provide and give u better life/opportunities just for u to turn around and say all illegals needs to be deported is such a huge slap in the face
