“Doors don’t open by themselves. Someone has to unlock them” @elrufai I want to begin with a thank you Malam @elrufai for unlocking them for women, youths and Nigerians with no name but the right mind. We didn’t just fill seats. We delivered. Projects moved. Systems changed. Excellence became normal. Malam didn’t just run a state, he built the women and youths. He put women in “untraditional” seats: Commissioners for Works, Health, Attorney General-comissioner of justice, Accountant General, DG Investment Promotion, GM Market Development, Deputy Governor, Chief of Staff, and many more I cannot recall. He brought youth into the room where decisions happen through Kashim Ibrahim Fellows. Merit only. The Fellowship became his proof of concept. It wasn’t for the “son of who.” It was for the qualified. Young Nigerians were brought into the engine room of government, understanding policy, testing strategy, learning governance and leadership directly from top decision makers in Nigeria and abroad. That exposure is now paying off. KIF alumni are leading in finance, tech, health, public policy, law, and development across Nigeria and globally. Some earned competitive sponsorships to Harvard, Cambridge, and other top schools from the program that prepared them to compete Some leaders build roads. Malam chose infrastructural development, sustainable development in all sectors and also built women and youths for inclusion in governance. At one point, the older generation complained he was “favoring youths and women too much.” What he favored was competence. He knows that when you put women and youths in charge and demand results, you don’t get tokenism. You get transformation. To every young Nigerian and every woman told “that seat isn’t for you”: Malam proved otherwise. He said; “Take up space. You belong. If we can do it, you can do better without fear.” That is the legacy we saw: He opened the door, demanded results. He trusts talent wherever it lives in women, youths, and other Nigerians without a famous last name. Thank you for showing us that inclusion isn’t charity. It’s strategy. It worked and will always work. Indeed “Doors don’t open by themselves. Someone has to unlock them”. Malam did opened for us. Our prayers are with you.

@IU_Wakilii I always say to anyone who cares to listen that, preaching should be regulated and screened in stages.

People like Sheikh Pantami of the early 2000s is the main reason why I want preaching regulated, clearly then he was not fit to be preaching about certain things then. His actions now clearly shows that he lacked maturity and understanding of a lot of things then, and clearly he knows better now. We still have people like that today, who are confusing the populace, preaching things they don’t even understand.

@BashirElRufai It's healthy to isolate to give yourself room to reflect. In fact, the more you do that, the stronger you become spiritually. But don't get too addicted 😀

Nowadays I sit in silence in my room, not using my phone or any other devices, just thinking & wondering about things. I hope it’s not only me because I fear schizophrenia.

Today I saw death with my own eyes, our 14 y/o little girl returned to Allah and my heart is shaken. I can’t believe she is gone. At the end of the day no matter our age, status or dreams we will all be wrapped in the same white cloth & placed beneath earth alone with our deeds.

Omar Suleiman in one of his Ramadan series episode said; If Allah can be patient, waiting for you to return to Him and doesn’t punish you immediately after you commit a sin, why can’t you be patient with His plans and trust Him over your own desires?

Earlier today, we were with His Excellency, Senator @ubasanius CON The executive governor of kaduna state to congratulate him on his affirmation of the re-election bid of His 2nd term Election. And also congratulate my Boss and brother @BashirSZuntu for clinching the primary ticket to represent the good people of KUBAU at HOR in abuja Insha Allah. We sincerely appreciate the overwhelming support, loyalty, and commitment shown by APC party members, stakeholders, and supporters. Translation says: Hold on to the one who holds on to you, help the one who helps you, love the one who loves you, have compassion for the one who has compassion for you, and embrace the one who embraces you. In a nutshell, don't go chasing clouds just because it's bumpy with those who have been there.

I don’t want to imagine how journalists feel with all the negative energies flying around. I love my mental health too much to be in the middle of negativity across the globe. Kudos to all the journalists in the world, you are strong and I applaud your skill and resilience.

Innalillahi wa inna ilaihir rajiun A Tribute to My Father — Our Unshaken Pillar To the man who became our first definition of strength, my father, who left us at just 42 and would have been 71 now. You left behind four children and a wife (Mama) who, in less than a year, followed you home. In that short space of time, our world collapsed twice. Losing you was losing our pillar, our shield, our compass. The trauma of watching the roof cave in while we were still small children is a wound I carry still. It’s a pain I pray with every fiber in me that my own children never know and that no child should bury their parent they still desperately need. But even in absence, you never stopped raising us. You taught us good morals when the world tried to teach us shortcuts. You planted integrity in us like a seed and told us to water it daily. You taught us self-love and respect while standing tall, but never trample others. You showed us honesty, even when it cost you. You pushed us toward knowledge, toward books, toward questions. You modeled hard work without pride, and reminded us never to lose our roots, no matter how far life takes us. Today, your children stand in different fields of life by God’s grace, by your prayers, by the foundation you laid in 42 short years. I wish you were here, but Allah knows best. I wish you could see the man and women your babies have become. I wish you could sit at the head of the table and watch us laugh, argue, pray, and thrive. I wish you could see that your name lives on in our choices, our work, our homes. My Prayer; May Almighty Allah continue to rest your soul in perfect peace. May He heal the parts of us that broke the day you left. May He shield our children, and other kids from the kind of loss that reshapes a childhood. May your legacy of integrity, love, and hard work multiply in our lives and in the generations after us. And when we finally see you again, may you smile and say, “Well done, my children. You kept the roots I gave you.” We miss you. We honor you. We thank Allah for you. Forever your number 1 and carbon copy Halima.

Slept and woke up with Malam @elrufai on my mind and definitely in my prayers. He’s mentored many, including me. So for me, praying and standing by him isn’t an option, it’s an obligation. ALLAH tries you with what you can take, may this test be a blessing upon you.

I’ll keep my peace at all costs, I don’t know who else is like me. That means avoiding drama and the people who thrive on it. Sometimes protecting your peace looks like going into hermit mode, pulling back from the noise just to recharge your own battery. Hermit mode also gives you space to look within yourself to see where you need to let go, what you need to change, and where to increase your strength. With the way people and the world are going these days, boundaries aren’t optional. You have to draw the line so toxicity doesn’t get access to you. Peace is expensive, and we should be done giving discounts. Enjoy your weekend.

For a long time, I've always wanted to sit with General Ibrahim Babangida (IBB). Beyond the history he shaped, he opened doors for a generation of Nigerians across sectors. I want to hear Nigerian history from his own perspective, the struggles of leading as a former Head of State, how he had to put his foot down to reduce tribal conflicts, navigate economic crises, and keep the country together. The lessons in statecraft and nation-building would be unmatched. Jumaat Mubarak
