'The Gambler' (1974). Terrific movie about a compulsive sports gambler. In this scene, James Caan's character has $50,000 ($330,000 in 2026 dollars) on the Lakers at a pick 'em. He already owes roughly the same amount to a different bookie, played by Paul Sorvino. Not ideal.
