@backtran@StateDept Ukraine isn’t a NATO member either.
And Russia hasn’t attacked a NATO country.
So don’t hide behind NATO now.
You didn’t need Article 5 to get involved in Ukraine,
but suddenly you do when it’s inconvenient?
Pick a standard.
PRESIDENT TRUMP on NATO: They don’t want to help us defend the Strait and they’re the ones that need it.
Now they’re getting much nicer because they’re seeing my attitude. But as far as I’m concerned it’s too late.
@IanCopeland5 Smallpox mutated to extinction. Ever wonder why it’s ONLY smallpox that was eradicated? With all our better technology we have not eliminated even one more virus?
The reason is we didn’t eradicate smallpox, it mutated to extinction. Use logic.
@StateDept Iran is literally arming Russia in Ukraine.
But when the U.S. asks for help dealing with Iran, suddenly Europe doesn’t want involvement?
That’s not principle, that’s convenience.
Time to withdraw membership with NATO. Here is why:
-There are over 30 members in NATO.
-They don't pay their fair share and Pres. Trump have to ask them more than once.
-We spend billion of dollars by maintaining our bases in Europe along with stationing our troops there.
-EU is no longer friendly with us and frankly some of these nations are self-imploding with mass illegals infiltrating their countries.
-Bringing home our troops who will be closer to their families and friends.
-With the money saved, we can use that to build more aircraft carriers and support ships so we don't need permission to be on foreign bases.
-The U.S. is part of NATO and have bases because of two world wars in Europe.
BREAKING: "The world, the Middle East, our ungrateful allies in Europe, even segments of our own press, should be saying one thing to President Trump. 'Thank you.'"— Secretary of War Pete Hegseth
@WilliamPar60374@defense_civil25 NATO is a defensive Alliance. It is only triggered if a member state is attacked. Response to 9/11 is an example
That’s not the case here
@defense_civil25 Look at that corrupt bunch of losers.
Why should the U.S. risk the life of one American Serviceman to save these crooked Bastards?
GET US OUT OF NATO NOW!
@defense_civil25 Withdraw from NATO and close all of our bases in their countries. Next time there is a crisis i.e... Russia or some other threat, let them handle it on their own.
It is a dark and sad day for Europe when its leaders cannot bring themselves to send even a single warship or fighter jet to support the United States, which has shed so much blood in the defence of European nations.

Nonsense. I work for an American multinational in Europe. No one is „hamstringing“ us
Just need to abide by the local country laws and regulations. Just like European companies must do in the US.
Just because a shitty little social media company doesn’t want to, doesn’t change it. No exceptions.
@n0t_pop@Cappyarmy Trumps claims of them hamstringing our companies in their markets is 💯 valid. There are a lot of very valid complaints against our long term allies, that has always been the case. Trump is just the guy who is doing something about it, whether he’s too aggressive or not.
Ukraine is supporting American military operations against Iran more than NATO countries are. We should leave NATO and start an alliance with only Ukraine. No new friends.
Here is a list of allied countries who suffered front line combat casualties in US lead wars.
Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Ethiopia, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, South Vietnam, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom.
@n0t_pop@Cappyarmy We’ve been working with all of our so-called friends for the better part of 100 years and they’ve taken us for granted. I disagree with Trumps over-aggression toward them, but a reassessment of our so-called allies is definitely necessary.

@Hchris1012@daligerin@atrupar Go back and look at the graves of allies who have died in your stupid wars. Goes beyond NATO too.
Trumps comments were about all.
