We’re delighted to see Cardiac Rehabilitation recognised as one of the Framework’s 12 national priorities. The British Heart Foundation CRC Research Development Fund is now open for applications, including a Special Call for UK-based cardiovascular Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) applying as lead applicants. This funding call is open exclusively to cardiovascular Allied Health Professionals based in the UK who are stepping forward as lead applicants. At least one of the research team must be a BACPR member. Bids focused upon cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation must be approved by the BACPR CRC research group. As this funding call has a closing date of Monday 17 August 2026, applications for BACPR approval must be submitted to the BACPR research group lead, Dr Sheona McHale by Wednesday 22 July 2026, midday. This should be done by emailing the completed application form to bacpr@bcs.com.
