@dowellndoubtnot Yes, definitely. People are so polarised right now (understandably sometimes) that expressing more “conservative” or “traditional values” reads automatically like MAGA/extreme right wing/etc

Yes, i certainly agree with a lot of that. I think where it gets tricky, is that it has now gotten to the point that a lot of that disappointment, is being based on straight up lies. It is now basically common understanding in swaths of the population that Gwen Stefani is MAGA...which is just a straight up lie. So respecting that disappointment absolutely, but not the lies that much of it is now built on.

@dowellndoubtnot In a way this is curse for a lot of artists which represented so much for so many. Unfortunately internet just promotes polarisation instead of conversation, and hating is way more fun than going a bit deeper. But everyone is entitled to be disappointed as well.

@dowellndoubtnot I also think people held her so so high for the longest time that her sharing these “other parts” of herself feels like a betray for many. Probably a whole generation. But yes, I agree. There’s a lot of misogyny in there! Men would never be judge the same way which is ridiculous
