Ilebaye’s mother has come out to speak on the voice note the father released. She said the father was upset because Ilebaye refused to hand over all her prize money and also refused to give him ₦50 million. The mother claimed Ilebaye has actually spent over ₦35 million on her father, including sponsoring multiple medical trips to India and giving him millions of naira at different times. She also said Ilebaye pays her younger brothers’ school fees and regularly supports the father financially. According to her, the father still complained even after receiving money for treatment. The mother questioned why he expected access to all of Ilebaye’s money and said she was shocked he was publicly complaining despite the help he had received. The mother of Ilebaye Odiniya denied the father’s allegation that Ilebaye gave her younger brother drugs that got him expelled from school. She explained that the boy only found an empty shisha pen in Ilebaye’s room and took it to school out of curiosity to ask classmates about it. According to her, the school investigated the situation, warned him, and did not expel him. She also said the boy later confirmed to authorities that it was not drugs. The mother accused Ilebaye’s father of trying to damage her image and claimed he had previously threatened her. She also denied his allegation that Ilebaye secretly underwent cosmetic surgery, saying her appearance has not significantly changed and accusing him of making false claims because he was upset with his daughter.
