He says this sudden extension raises doubts about who benefits. Amenya isn’t just talking about dates. He’s flagged serious conflict of interest concerns. At the centre of the storm is KeRRA Board Chairman Anthony Mwaura, who has faced corruption charges tied to a past embezzlement case but continues to hold sensitive public roles. A court once called him the “main suspect” yet his appointments have continued first at Kenya Revenue Authority and now at KeRRA. Another worry is the long‑serving Acting Director General, Eng.
