🚨 Premier League admit THREE major refereeing errors went in Arsenal’s favour this season.
An independent review panel confirmed key mistakes in matches vs Everton, Chelsea and Brighton with decisions potentially worth up to 6 points in the title race.
Fresh controversy has risen following West Ham’s late equaliser ruled out after VAR intervention in Arsenal’s latest win.
@BluesDan_ I think that was just a goodbye till next season. 10th place isn't bad despite all the optimism. I'm on the fence with CD, feels like a frustrating season. See you all next season KRO
@LeeA11en1971@AlyssonSZN It isn't called that anymore Lee, changed the name years ago, dropped the international bit. But you're right tho. No schedule flights to the USA apart from the odd one to Orlando. Poor really.
Part of my column in last Wednesdays Birmingham Mail @Birmingham_Live - no rights or wrongs only opinions #BCFC
At last week’s game against Wrexham Blues fans were singing Tom Wagners name knowing that he would be watching it in the USA either live or recorded.
Tom recently suffered a stroke and is currently recovering at home in the USA.
I don’t remember any owner forging as close a relationship with supporters as Tom Wagner has done at Blues.
Perhaps, as many believe, it is a consequence of years of misery under the previous owners who showed little or no investment into the club or the playing side.
However, while that might be a part of it, for me the overwhelming reason for the football love affair is because he has bought into the culture of the club and the fans. To put it simply, he gets it.
He has shunned the boardroom at away games and sat with the Blues fans in the away end. He has turned up at pubs and clubs around St Andrews on match days and shared a drink with supporters.
Cynics will say this is just a marketing strategy or PR exercise. However, when you speak to him, or you hear him speak, you quickly realise that it’s not an act but, outside of the boardroom, he is a man who genuinely loves being involved as a fan.
He loves the passion of the supporters in fact the whole “Blues” thing has gotten into his blood.
He appointed a diehard Blues fan in Jeremy Dale to be CEO when he could have appointed others from here or the USA to look after his investment.
However, he knew that Jeremy was not only a brilliant businessman with whom he could trust to run and grow the club to the highest professional level, but that he was also a passionate Bluenose. The perfect mix.
When Tom recovers and is well enough to returns to the club you will hear noise from the terraces the like of which is normally reserved for important and vital wins.
First and most importantly, he has to get back to full fitness for him and his family.
Since buying the club he has given Blues not only a financial kiss of life but has also restored the supporters pride and optimism in their club. A pride that had previously been eroded. Hopefully, we see him back at
St Andrews @ Knighthead Park sooner rather than later.
@Ohffs1984 At the very old age of 57 I still don't know when to stop. Too much on Friday, same again last night. I blame the blues. Time for a dog walk.
Suppose a win is all that matters but we need to learn how to put teams like that to bed. QPR by far the worst team I've seen this season, but we made hard work of it. #bcfc
Mid table should have been the yardstick for this season. I’m not worried about not making the play offs, would have been a nice bonus. The football is the problem for me now it’s gash and some of the teams out performing us shouldn’t be. Thats on Davies I’m afraid. #bcfc
Genuinely think his stubbornness and lack of plan b etc will cost him his job. His credit in the bank is looking like its running out. Be sorry to see him go but think this squad should do much better than it is. #Bcfc
