American Pipit. Nesting: 4 or 5 gray eggs, thickly spotted with brown and streaked with black, in a cup of grass and twigs built on the ground in the shelter of a rock or tussock.

Got around to Sinners, Bugonia, and One Battle after Another just in time for the Oscars. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite movie this year, but I guess it's Sinners. I think Hamnet should win though. Really stellar list of nominees this year.

@guttenbirder22 @birdmoder We have a legendary stringer here in Pittsburgh. The real deal. I went on a hike with him once and he told me he heard four different thrasher species and saw a Puerto Rican Vireo

@birdmoder My stance is that “stringing” is pretty rare. Like intentionally stretching the truth or completely making stuff up to enlarge your list. But innocent misidentification is totally normal and mostly fine. A learning opportunity.

When I look at my eBird alerts and see someone reported a slightly rare bird in a slightly wrong habitat

I quit this pathetic excuse for a political party six years ago and I’m only increasingly glad I did.
