HEY COUNTY ASSESSOR — THIS ONE’S FOR YOU. Let’s call this what it is. I’m being taxed on money I never made. Think about that. I bought my property in 2012 for $60,000. Now the county claims it’s worth $306,000. Did I sell it? No. Did I realize a profit? No. Did I receive a $306,000 check? Not even close. But my tax bill? That went up like I did. That’s the problem. This isn’t income. This isn’t cash. This is a number someone wrote down on paper — and now I’m expected to pay real money because of it. If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t owe taxes until I sell. If my paycheck doesn’t increase, I don’t suddenly owe more income tax. So why is housing treated differently? Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains? A home isn’t just an asset on a spreadsheet — it’s where people live. And under this system, you can do everything “right,” pay off your house, and still get squeezed harder every year based on a theoretical value you never turned into cash. That’s not ownership. That’s renting from the government with extra steps. And spare me the talking points about “services” and “inflation.” This is about being billed for value you never received. People are waking up to it.

Got off the phone with my dear friend Joe Hoft, who recently suffered a stroke. This follows the hospitalization of his twin brother Jim, who awaits heart surgery this Tuesday. Now we learn Rudy Giuliani has been hospitalized. All three fought the election cartel, the traitors Ruby and Shaye, and dealt with endless law-fare. All have given voice to the voiceless. The emotional distress they have dealt with is heavy. Please lift all three in your prayers, that they would enjoy a season of victory, not just the battle of daily weariness.

ESV, but I use multiple versions sometimes reading from a different one helps me understand or see something I don’t, I get lost in the language of KJV, my dyslexic brain doesn’t follow it well. I even use the message translation sometimes, during study I believe that a variety of versions can make for lively discussions.

Which version of the Bible do you believe is the most accurate? For me it’s the ESV but I use the NIV often as well.

Today marks six months without drinking a drop of alcohol of any kind! Six months of eating seven fruit and vegetables a day, drinking 10 glasses of water, no carbs and no red meat, plus at least 8 hours of sleep a night. The change in my body has been fantastic! I feel great, I lost weight and my way of thinking is very positive! I'm looking to keep this up until I die. No alcohol, eat only healthy foods, getting lots of sleep and above all, an hour of exercise every day!' Three years ago, my mother died. I had long feared I would never see either of my siblings afterwards. In fact, I had wondered if they would even notify me. They both called to tell me she was dying.
