There would be talks of dropping Duckett. But they shouldn't. He is a good player, who's just had a tough series against a top attack. He will be much more experienced & Australia will not have the same attack when he is 33-34 for next Ashes trip. He disrupts length. Back him.

@TehRealKhuong Lol no they are almost equal. Just 30 Runs difference between the two. Jaiswal scored heavily on flat tracks credit goes to him but also failed miserably on tougher tracks. Brook hasn't scored huge hundreds but has got starts in almost every innings.

Who do you think will make up gothe next generation of great test batsmen? I could think of plenty of names in white ball cricket, but really struggling with test cricket. Frankly, I don’t see anyone from this gen adept at dominating like Smith and Root.

@the_isteds @BoothCricket Joe Root in 2017-8 Ashes averaged 47.25. Despite the lack of hundreds, I think this was his best Away Ashes in terms of purely stats and that he faced a stronger Australia attack; Cummins, Hazlewood, Starc, Lyon consistently throughout the series.

Root finishes the series with 400 runs at 44 - decent, but not the stellar return England needed if they were to have any chance.
