@marbarod @RenderDoc You can use the RenderDoc in-application API to start and stop the capture at any point you want. If you're using vulkan/D3D12 be aware that only queue submissions are captured, so if you start and stop around a command buffer record without submitting it that won't be included.

@baldurk @RenderDoc I'm trying to track a rendering issue by triggering renderdoc capture just before it happens, but it seems to start capturing from next frame. Is there any way/hint to be able to capture current commandBuffer (which is gonna be submitted this frame) ? Tnx!

@headassbtw Are you using any third party or external libraries that might call GL? E.g. Qt, or anything like that? The error only shows up if those functions are definitely called somewhere, you could try setting a breakpoint on them in a debugger to see.
