@leboncoinEng @leboncoin Removing sort-order user options (prix croissant, decroissant, etc) of search page results on your website makes User Experience worse. Ordering simply by recency does not help much, please bring back the previous experience.

The advantage is that there is a single artifact (a tensorflow graph you hit with strings) that does everything for you: tokenization + tranformers predictions + pooling + normalization + dense .. It really depends on the base sent. tranformer model architecture!

Check tf-exporter (github.com/balikasg/tf-ex…). Build around sentence-transformers of @Nils_Reimers it exports a sent. transf. model (tokenizer + all modules) in a *single* tensorflow graph for serving. Also on PyData Global this Friday! #pydata #sentence_transformers #tensorflow

#Python #polars 0.13.52 is just released. This is the first python release that has NO required external dependencies. Thanks to @stinodego we finally removed almost all numpy requirements and most operations will run on the polars engine now!

Polars is awesome! It is python dataframe library written in rust, embarrassingly parallel execution. Here is a small demo were polars is ~10x faster over pandas. And the syntax is very concise and elegant! balikasg.github.io/python/Polars-… #polars #pandas #Python
