SHOCKING SCENE: San Diego PD deployed a K9 unit and non-lethal rounds to subdue Lathapoun Keovongsa after he allegedly stabbed a parking attendant twice in the head with a wooden cane in a downtown parking lot. Video from the scene shows multiple officers with weapons drawn as the K9 engages the suspect swinging a long cane near a tree and storefront, leading to his takedown. The parking attendant received hospital treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. I hope that K9 gets all of the good boy treats tonight!

Askins says she was running for her life when she fell. The student says that as her friend tried to help her up, she was shot in the rear. "At one point I did think [the gunman] had walked away, so I was going to shift over to grab my phone to share my last 'I love you's' with my family." @Evan_P_Grant Evan….I believe it’s the consistency (below average) in which the bullpen has performed over the last 5 to 7 years that sets people off this early in the season.

I expected the Rangers to mix and match guys in their bullpen since they don't have an established closer, but I didn't think the main takeaway from the weekend would be a bitch session on bullpen usage when they won 3 of 4, where the bullpen as a whole pitched well, where Heim/Garcia got off to good starts, where they won without Seager & Jung in the lineup.
