Why is menstrual health education important? We are a new social enterprise who are teacher-led and experienced in delivering period and menopause education. Get in touch to discuss your upcoming workshop!

Come and speak to our Period Ambassadors @clydeview_a parents’ evening. They have completed their @bamazingedu training and are all set to share information about reusable period products.

Thank you @Tesco for your very generous donation of underwear! We have put a selection of sizes (11-12y to size 18) in all the boxes around the school - they all have labels so you don't get confused on the size. Don't be shy to take what you need. 🩲

Yesterday, we delivered our  second menstrual well-being workshop to pupils at an Inverclyde High school.  Our passionate Period Ambassadors are ready to make a real difference, leading the way to raise awareness on menstrual and menopause health for all in their school!

If you live with gynaecological chronic pelvic pain, please consider taking part in this online survey: run.pavlovia.org/pavlovia/surve… It takes about 20 minutes and you do not have to provide any identifying information. Thanks for reading and please share widely.

Today, Livvi accepted an award on behalf of every woman (classroom assistant and teacher) who has bled through their clothes while working with children and had to continue. Special thanks to the STUC and for the folk at @NASUWT_Scotland for banging the drum for women’s health.

I wish the #NHS would offer #endometriosis sufferers regular check ups & keep them in the system instead of discharging pts & making them wait months/years to receive another apt for their debilitating chronic disease... that has no cure.
Endometriosis Surgeon India@VimeeBindra

When Endometriosis is left unchecked, the consequences can be life-altering. Endometriosis can affect any organ in the body. Beyond infertility, it can lead to renal loss, bowel obstruction, chronic pain, even damage vital organs like the lungs or kidneys.

@AisGall16 Posted often about this in teachers groups and it barely gets any traction. It’s why I’m trying to make period and menopause education part of the curriculum.

I was asked by my rapist’s lawyer what I was wearing the night I was raped. I was asked if I liked attention from my male friends. And then, after my rapist was found guilty, I was told he fell in love with the “wrong person”. There’s no doubt, rape myths in court are everywhere.

We had the pleasure of attending The Beacon Art Centre on Wednesday to meet @inverclyde Period Ambassadors. Pupils came up with some excellent ideas to raise awareness and we are so excited to hear more about their journey moving forward!

@hazelmpinner In our experience, period education/menstrual cycle education isn’t happening consistently in our schools so young people are vulnerable to this sort of misinformation and targeting.

@Teacherglitter I remember periods were I used tampon & largest pad available… and still had to have a change of trousers in my office & car boot, and I had to sit on hard chairs and check if it needed a wipe when I stood up! I had to beg my GP for a hysterectomy!

Period pain can be debilitating. I’ve had periods in the past where I couldn’t move. Periods where I would walk & feel like my uterus was falling out. No man has the right to tell me how my body feels & if I can manage the pain. No man should pass any judgement on female bodies.
