I think one thing weird about KATSEYE is they always show their “bravery” “freedom” but stay silent when their team member receives mistreatment. They hold the rainbow flag at the concert. They came out. They can build romantic relationship unlike South Korea idols. They show their body in front of a lot of people. They also sing a lot of lyrics about they don’t give a fuck of other people’s comments. They ate this, that, this, that… But they stay silent on real political controversy and the mistreatments received by member of color. I am not saying they have to do more, I understand their concern and they choose to stay silent. It’s just make me feel that the bravery and freedom they always say is just “performance” “market strategy”. What they do and what they say cannot match and this makes me feel it’s all fake.
