#Chandrayaan3 Totally missed showing the actual landing. Instead we got a simulation and the PM.

This is ridic for many reasons: - how on earth are people meant to know? - this isn't the purpose of tactiles! - it's hostile to pedestrians - it only exists because of huge throbbing car branes who can't bear the thought that a car might not have priority every second of the day

@AklTransport So for some reason at this particular intersection, one of the busiest in the city, not only do you have to beg to cross, but pressing the beg button actually does nothing if you're also not standing in the right spot?

There should be some sort of guidelines around public transport windows not being obstructed by advert wrapping. Ie on this train replacement bus today. Yes you can still see (albeit through the dots) but esp with lower light etc it becomes cavernous/hard to see #springst

Our first 2023 Melbourne Art Tram has officially hit the tracks. From today, you’ll be able to catch the first tram—Amina Briggs’ incredible artwork featuring Bunjil (‘the creator’–wedge tailed eagle) and Waa (‘the protector’–raven) in Boonwurrung culture. Curated by @jarra

@tvaziri Slightly off-topic, but when the local news shows cell phone video, inevitably shot in vertical "portrait" orientation, they put blurry versions of the clip on either side. Are people THAT offended by black bars?

Shows like Friends, M*A*S*H and Seinfeld were shot on film and presented on TV in 4:3 aspect ratio. For streaming, unused portions of the film negative are used to create a 16:9 widescreen image—if the reframe is sloppy, the audience sees more than was intended. "Friends" s10e01

On days like today you appreciate buses & trams without window ad wraps. New bus & tram contracts should put the passenger first & phase it out. Olivers Hill, Frankston. #springst

Hallelujah @julianoshea ! It’s time to make owners of these gormless, unsafely large vehicles pay. A menace to the public, particularly cyclists and pedestrians. And a crime against the environment (not to mention, aesthetics!) @smh @theage
