Year 1 Abbey House part 2

Year 1 had lots of fun at Abbey House Museum and learnt a lot about what life was like in a Victorian home. They also helped get the house ready for Queen Victoria's visit to the newly built Town Hall and watched her Knight Sir Peter, the mayor of Leeds at the time of her visit.

Year 5 and Year 6 took part in a Get Set for Positive Energy workshop and learnt lots about sustainability. Thank you so much for a fun and very informative morning! @BritishGas @TeamGB @ParalympicsGB

History Club have been learning about the Benin Bronzes, amazing metal artworks from Benin City (in modern-day Nigeria). We debated whether the bronzes should stay in Britain or return to Nigeria and made these fab replicas.

The perfect end to SATs week - a well-deserved treat at Heavenly Desserts! Year 6 have been wonderful all week and we are very proud of them. Thanks to all the fabulous parents who helped with breakfasts. Now to work it all off at our brilliant Y6 residential! @IngleboroughHal

Year 4 have been super busy at the allotment over the last few weeks. They have planted strawberries, peas, potatoes and lettuce so far!! Yum Yum

History Club have been discovering the myths and the history of the Great Wall of China. They made these awesome 3D pictures of the wall snaking across China.

Year 1 felt the heat during their trip to Tropical World. They saw lots of different animals that live all across the world. They particularly enjoyed watching the stingray, crocodile and monkeys. It was also fun getting 'chased' by the enormous butterflies!

Year 2 really enjoyed their trip to Cannon Hall Farm yesterday - from the tractor ride to watching the baby goats (kids!) race each other. We can't thank @cannonhallfarm enough! 😊

History Club have been looking at the origins of Chinese writing, which dates back over 3500 years.

History Club are studying Ancient China. They did some beautiful scroll art inspired by the Qing Ming Festival Scroll painted in 1085.
