He’s tight with Iowa State’s bag man from the Hoiberg era. He left Ames on bad terms and Rothstein has hated us since. The bag man in question was fired by Nebraska and Saint Johns if that tells you anything. We’ve also gutted every one of his beloved Big East teams we’ve played over the last 5 years. Just a petty little man
English

Kinda weird that Jon Rothstein is a sideline reporter for March Madness only watching a couple games per day and not locked alone in a dark room with 4 TVs profusely sweating and muttering to himself about sleeping in May while tweeting corny catch phrases

@PostinsPostcard Is that the word on the street? Idk what I’d do with Wes Miller if I were them, but before this season I thought it was time to move on from him. I also heard Calhoun and Shertz both said no to K-State. So if he said no to K State why take Cincinnati? Lot of questions!
English

(And if Cincinnati gets its way he'll see Tommy and Arizona much more often). 🤫

Utah State’s Jerrod Calhoun says he will watch at least 7 Arizona games to prepare for Sunday. “There’s very few college basketball teams I enjoy watching play. I would rather watch Europe or the Boston Celtics…Tommy’s is probably one of the five teams I really enjoy watching.”
English

@OhioTate Back when players were broke the free team shoes were crucial. Now you can’t get anyone to wear the shitty team shoes. Most schools still provide each player with team shoes.
English

@RobDauster 95% of coaches can’t coach like this anymore. There’s still a few who can, but they’ve earned it in my opinion.
English

I mean, he just won back to back regular season and tournament titles at a place that forgot basketball existed for 25 years.
So yes, maybe it is?
BBALLBREAKDOWN@bballbreakdown
It's always a good idea for the coach to have a goal with every interaction they have with their players. Whatever Pitino wants from his player, do you think this is the **best** way to get him to change the way he's playing?
English

@organdonor22 @DeepInTheWild @CycloneLarry69 He gave Ben McCollum “the natural” one week into the job at Iowa lol
English

@bardpeezy @DeepInTheWild @CycloneLarry69 He’s never done it for Hubert Davis, but he has one for Will Wade haha.
English

@bardpeezy @DeepInTheWild @CycloneLarry69 KU also doesn’t have a catch phrase fwiw, but yeah pretty much everyone else does lol
English

@Cardzilla_ @CycloneLarry69 Michigan? I mean they haven’t looked good in their past two games in my opinion. I think anyone.
English

@bardpeezy @CycloneLarry69 Who’s gonna beat them? ISU was that team
English

Hearing it’s not broken.
Gonna choose to be optimistic. We’re still more than capable of beating Kentucky and Tennessee/Virginia without him. I think he’ll be back for next weekend.
I believe.
I’m back.

@DeepInTheWild @CycloneLarry69 Rothstein refuses to give Iowa State/TJ a slogan or catch phrase like he does literally every other coach. It’s like he’s going out of his way to do it so Larry goes out of his way to shit on Rothstein.
English

@CycloneLarry69 Not going to lie you sound like a massive hater right now lol
English

If Joshua Jefferson is out for Iowa State's 2nd round matchup against Kentucky, it drops ISU from 8th to 16th at EvanMiya.com after adjusting for his absence.
The injury would be worth a 4.5 point adjustment against Kentucky, dropping the spread from -7.5 to -3.

English

@EvanMiya I think losing Momcilovic or Lipsey would hurt more tbh
English

@TylerJRoney @AliteralLoser_ Not the same. Iowa state will be fine.
English

@ptrckcreighton @R2_Cy25 @TheFieldOf68 @WideRtNattyLt Naw Niang injury ended the tournament…we have enough juice to make it to the elite eight still. And if Michigan gets knocked out before then we could have JJ back in the final four. Season not over at all.
English

Iowa State’s Joshua Jefferson is DOUBTFUL to return today, team spokesman told @TheFieldOf68.
