China has decided that it will build the Rousseau like state: a state based on ethnic homogeneity as Rousseau recommended during enlightenment. This is actually the model state for most European countries. Only United States is built on a post-enlightenment state model and this was forced by circumstances at the point of founding the “United States”.

Galileo way was extraordinary: instead of relying on sensory input only(observations) and then applying logic as was the standard since Aristotle: Galileo MEASURED!Then he claimed true knowledge is not based on metaphysics( I can only know that which I contain): true knowledge is based on measurement and quantification!True knowledge is mathematical! That kickstarted scientific revolution because no one accepted “nicely argued things” if they had not been verified by measuring! All people did before then was argue very greatly using logic and observations. Galileo stopped all that and launched a new way of doing science: the scientific revolution followed.

More than 400 years ago, Galileo Galilei proposed that mass does not affect the speed with which an object falls. Now, using the world's largest vacuum chamber at NASA, we can confirm this fundamental principle of physics. x.com/i/status/20317…

Yes of the third law: the motorbike is pushing straight out at a tangent toward the ground and the ground is pushing right back. The ground is curved so the motorbike accelerates by changing direction. That is the same insight behind general relativity: where STRAIGHT MOTION through a curved spacetime produces an acceleration we call “gravity force”.

@Reuters Building an enlightenment style Rousseau state in a multiethnic country?Yeah, that is inevitable for China if it want to be known as Han China: otherwise they would have to do the hard work of coming up with a new way to build a multiethnic country, like not so perfect USA!

Yeah, that is a fundamental principle: without a free market, you can’t tell the real price of anything! That in turn means you can’t price production. It is a spiral downward from there. Free markets keep the economy sane. Even the famous “law of demand and supply” can’t work nor produce the right results if the market is not there and if it i there it has to be absolutely free!

In 1920, while Western intellectuals were gushing over Soviet "progress," a young Austrian economist named Ludwig von Mises published a bombshell paper. He argued that socialist economies would inevitably collapse because they couldn't calculate prices without markets. The academic world laughed him off. For the next 70 years, Nobel Prize winners, Harvard professors, and CIA analysts kept insisting the USSR was an economic powerhouse. Paul Samuelson's famous textbook predicted Soviet GDP would surpass America's by 1990. And the intelligence community? They estimated Soviet GDP at 60% of America's right up until the end. But Mises had nailed it from day one. Without real prices, central planners were flying blind — they literally couldn't tell if making a nail cost more than the nail was worth. When the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, Soviet GDP turned out to be maybe 15% of America's. The whole thing had been a Potemkin village propped up by Western loans and oil exports. Mises had been vindicated, posthumously — he died in 1973, missing his ultimate "I told you so" moment by just 16 years.

@microslop1010 @TheStalwart Imaginary numbers are used to model the physical concepts of “a twist”, “a rotation about an axis”, and such related phenomena. Without them science would be so limited and we wouldn’t model most of what goes on in the universe!

To “see one more dimension”, you have to “get outside” of the enclosure defined by your current dimensions. To see 1D things and manipulate them: you must be existing in 2D . To see 2D objects in their entirety and manipulate them: you must be existing in a 3D. So, to see 3D and manipulate 3D objects: you must be existing in 4D!That was Albert Einstein greatest insight when he conjured up “spacetime” as a true construct of the universe and he was right. If there are beings that exist in 5D, they manipulate our 4D world and they can move through x,y,z and time dimension: the same way you move left, right and up is the same way they would freely move left, right,up and “timely”. Then their 5th dimension would be fixed for everyone, just like for us the 4th dimension of time is fixed for us all unless we bend and twist spacetime itself.

@bariimacharia In QI you can not separate a mass that is inherent (rest mass) with one due to motion (rel mass) because an inherent mass is not possible, mass is a different concept and due to interaction.

But the founders(Church, Turing) of computer science were attempting to explain “how mathematics works”. Mathematics models how reality works. Explaining how reality works is the work of science disciplines(physics, chemistry etc). So, computer science is a more basic science than say physics! That is why computer science can be used to build tools to SIMULATE physics. The same way physics tools rule chemistry and chemistry tools rule biology.

An equation is a distilled model of REALITY. If it has not been confirmed through experiments or repeatable experiences(observations), that equation is a “proposed model” of reality. So, there is no knowing without mathematics. That was Galileo insight that initiated a scientific revolution.

Mathematics is a tool for modeling reality in our heads and communicating that “model” to other people. Furthermore, the only way to “know” what is going on in the universe is by measuring! We measure and quantify using mathematics. That in turn becomes the only way to know true things or “truth”. From that perspective: mathematics is both a tool, a human language and surprisingly the language of the universe.

@Kekius_Sage Light travels through spacetime itself. When the spacetime gets bent and twisted near the black hole, the light gets twisted and bent as well. It is like a train bending because the rail line has a bend and not the train itself being “a bent train”.
