Our people were little more than submarine tourists. This government suffers from a kind of practical pacifism, where the only circumstances our armed forces might conceivably be permitted to fire a shot in anger is at an enemy actually bombing Darwin. At some point, the US president who's supposed to give Australia up to five Virginia class nuclear powered submarines is going to ask why he should divert firepower to a country that won't use it. Could a country that benches personnel already embarked on a US sub ever be trusted to be at America's side when it really counts? I can't take the gaslighting, guys. I really can't. Conservatives are now running around saying "Iran has been waging war on us for 47 years." Okay then why didn't any of you call for an attack on Iran at any point until now? Why didn't you make a case for Trump "ending the war, not starting it" until precisely the moment when Trump did it? You and I both know that you are latching onto a talking point you never used until 45 seconds ago. You and I both know that almost every conservative influencer in the business was opposed to war with Iran until just now. And now you're trying to use justifications that stretch back decades. It doesn't make any sense. If you changed your mind, fine. Say so. Explain why. You're allowed to change your mind. I've changed my mind about things. But don't try to rewrite history. Be honest about it. There's too much at stake to play these games.

Matt Gaetz isn’t Attorney General because even if half of that report that the ethics committee released is true it is the end of your political career. Group orgies on drugs for money while in office is a career killer. There is nobody who would survive that. Now you can tell me that it’s a double standard and the Republicans are held to a higher standard and the Democrats get away with murder because nobody actually exposes them and I’m gonna tell you yeah you’re probably right, but it doesn’t change the underlying fact that he did all of this. It may not be a crime and the girl may have been barely legal but it’s still morally repugnant but more importantly political suicide. It’s no one’s fault but his own. The only real question I have is what is coming out that he felt the need to bring this back up after four years and blame Israel, what is coming out that is so bad that he had to literally make up a story and blame a person who was never even investigated by the FBI instead of the guy who is sitting in prison for the crime of extorting his dad just because the guy is Jewish. That’s the only real question that exists.
