In Devon you cannot take your own household recycling items to ANY @DevonCC recycling centre in a van if it's sign written. Plain vans - no problem, come on in. You can put your toaster in a sign written camper van, sign written pick-up, sign written estate car or on a sign written trailer being towed by any of the above mentioned sign written vehicles and they will allow you to enter the site but not if you are in a sign written van, even if it's your ONLY vehicle, registered in your own name at your home address. This policy inevitably leads to more flytipping but Devon County Council don't care about that because they're not the authority tasked with the duty of cleaning it up. It's ridiculous.
