Shoutout to @radarmentions and his site mentionsterminal.com
This new mentions calendar is dope. Love to see people in the community making stuff like this.
I wish kalshi had something like this for each category - like a birds eye view of everything that's happening in the coming days and weeks.

@alch3my101 Hey dude! Haha, it’s cause I was buying once it jumped into the high 60s and 70s. You had a lot more then me much lower - until someone came in and destroyed it for both of us 😂

@barnadrift Oh there you are, Stephen! I was wondering if you were on X!
Ngl, I was sad that you won more on this market than me. Like hooooooowww?!!!! 😂 You’re a legend 🫡

Was blessed last night with my biggest win ever! But I was also sad to find out who was on the other side 🙏
$14,104 ➡️ $18,286
I've named this win, "Vive la France ! 🇫🇷"
______________
I learned French from a world famous Frenchman that most people reading this will know. It came it handy last night when @wemby, in his postgame media availability interview, was asked a question in French. He answered with:
“C'est un match up intéressant. Ça fait des années que tous les fans de basket aiment voir les Wolves et les Nuggets s'affronter.”
The strike was "Nuggets / Timberwolves".
He was speaking French, so his answers wouldn't normally count for strikes. But “Nuggets” is a perfect cognate so it does.
I seemed to be the only one who caught this initially as at one point after the stream ended I was 95%+ of the resting bids.
I was extremely patient with the situation, and I was able to get around 3,000 in fills sub 4c, including a 1c fill for 635 shares. I found out later my friend Stephen caught this too and was on it around the same time. He actually made more than me on this market.
I could have been more aggressive in taking shares and in hindsight I should have, but hindsight is 20/20 and there is alway that chance of a rulecuck. We've never seen the foreign language rules applied before!
However, I was actually ready to go really big on this one as I've demonstrated recently, so more than anything what held me back was my strategy:
I was playing small to try to induce a megabonder to come in give me a 20,000 share ask at 1c.
I think I played it pretty well given the fact that volume was pretty small and you never know who the counterparty is, what they are thinking, how skittish they are, and how big their pockets are. I would have loved to amass 20,000 shares, and if this had continued and I would have amassed 10,000+ easily. But it didn't.
After almost half an hour of taking it slow, some people got wise to the situation (I have no idea how) and the price started reversing. Someone came in and started placing 100-200 share orders at 6c, 7c, 8c. That's not a smart thing to do, and it was not cool. I was sad to see that.
It blew out pretty quickly after that, and I didn’t buy anymore shares as it went up. I’ve been burned on that before, and market movement is not a reason to buy. In short, as the price starting moving up, I felt content to let it play out and let others mog and fight for the scraps.
When the dust settled I had 4,466 shares at a 4.4c average. I sold 500 when market seemed to settle around 85c. That's a $75 shave to guarantee a win while still realizing 98% of max return. Seemed like a good play.
One thing is for sure, I’m no @catboyautist, and that was the gut punch that made this win bitter sweet 😭 At one point after I had most of my final position and was still waiting for more, a 4,177 share ASK appeared on the book at 4c. I hesitated, and a few seconds later it was gone. I don't know if someone nabbed it or if it was a mistake and someone took it down because 400 shares almost immediately appeared in it's place.
"IT COULD HAVE BEEN $8,000?!!!?"
Good lesson I suppose. I'll be meditating on this as I know lots of, even, sharps hesitate with the lows buys, and there's no reason to especially as your port grows and you prove yourself to be astute.
I’m grateful for @radarmentions who picked up the phone when I called. Halfway through this I felt I needed a second opinion to make sure I wasn't crazy. He’s a standup guy who respected the situation and respected my find. He gave me his opinion and didn’t get involved until I gave him the green light to come in when prices hit 20c+. If everyone was like him and acted with that level of patience, respect, and integrity, the mentions space would be even more incredible.
I’m grateful for this win, and I am feeling extremely blessed. I am also sad there was a normal guy on the other side who lost big. When I saw his post I messaged him, and I said sorry. I'm not sure that meant anything, but it was authentic. I've been there, and I know he was hurting. If it had been a bot or a whale I wouldn’t have minded, and of course that’s what I was hoping for.
The grind is paying off. We'll keep at it. Also, merci beaucoup, @wemby ! Je t'adore meme si tu as vaincu mes Blazers !! 😄
On y va ! Vive la France !! 🇫🇷

@cursor_ai What in the world did you guys do with the context window? I can’t even get through 10 minutes of work without it summarizing the conversation and completely forgetting everything it just did? @ericzakariasson

We're the CMS @leerob migrated away from.
He's got valid points. But we've got some context to add.

I migrated cursor.com from a CMS to raw code and Markdown. I had estimated it would take a few weeks, but was able to finish the migration in three days with $260 in tokens and hundreds of agents. Here's how I did it + all my my usage stats. leerob.com/agents

@Mr_Derivatives Bro, 10% conversion rate? This is why people think influencers make 5000x more than they actually do. He probably has a 1–0.5% conversion rate, if not even less.
English

Michael Burry now has over 156k+ subscribers on his Substack that he started not even a month ago.
He has a monthly sub ($39/month) and a free tier version.
Let's assume he has just a 10% conversion rate, which I think is fair for someone of his notoriety.
That's $608,400/month before the ~15% fees through SS.
So $517,140ish net a month or $6,205,680 a year. And that # likely will continue to grow.
Basically the equivalent of running a $310M AUM hedge fund and charging a 2% management fee. But without any of the stress.
Are my #'s off?

@pontusab 2.5 flash is still the best at obscure receipts, especially when it pulls in discounts. If it’s a clean PDF they all work fine, but when I straight up take a bad photo of a receipt - 2.5 flash is usually the only one that can interpret it correctly.

@preetsuthar17 @HextaUI @shadcn Are these not just rips of the blocks that already exist? Pointless with no added functionality.

@louisjoejordan Dude these are amazing - I was just building my own a few days ago wishing for something like this 😂 perfect timing
