@ByMarcMcGowan He’s covered almost 25m. Clear as day. If this happens in the first quarter you’re not writing anything. Absolute waffle…

Took almost 3 years but the hard work has paid off 😍 might not have much wall space left, but that won’t stop me from collecting and fine tuning the man cave 💪🏼 #GoPies @CollingwoodFC

Living with ya mother in law whilst saving for a house means there’s not enough room to display your best memorabilia. Can’t wait to hang it all up one day 💪🏼 ps. If @CollingwoodFC could help me get @swandane to sign the Match Worn jumper that’d be great 😛#GoPies #MyMagpiesStory

2023 Melbourne Marathon. Today I ran my fastest ever marathon. 3:34:01. I’m so happy. This was my 19th full marathon. I ran my first in 2010 (when I was 35) and ran 3:43:07. It then took me 6 years 6 marathons to beat that time, I ran 3:41:54 at Gold Coast in 2016. I honestly thought I’d never break that PB as I had to work so hard to do that. However, this year I ran a lot and I started setting a few other PBs. I entered the Sydney Marathon and exactly 4 weeks ago I managed to lower my PB to 3:39:44. That was a 2 minute improvement but coming 7 years after the previous PB made me very happy. So today I set out on my second marathon in a month. I’ve never done two marathons that close together so I had no idea what to expect. Conditions were perfect and this is home. I’ve run parts of this course hundreds of times. I even did a course reconnaissance run of the final few kilometres last week! I decided to try and match my Sydney time which meant running at about 5:10/km pace. However, I quickly settled into just under 5:00 pace and felt really good. In the first few kilometres, along St Kilda Rd, I spotted 6 friends spectating, all in close proximity. I waved and shouted out to all of them. A guy running near me said “this guy knows everyone in Melbourne” and his mate replied “nah, he’s just shouting random names”. I assured them I did know them all - all from parkrun. It does that, parkrun, you meet awesome people. I got to half way in 1:45:04 and still felt really comfortable. At 28km, after we turned around at Elwood, I could see I was only 90 seconds behind the 3:30 pacers. At this point I knew I could run a PB so I felt really good. I passed the 36km marker at exactly 3:00:00, bang on 5:00 pace. At that point I knew I could run 6:00/km and still run a PB. That felt great. I had an extra drink after the hills in the Tan and then cruised through the last couple of kilometres. Finishing with a lap inside the MCG, the greatest stadium in the world, is always amazing. I realised I could go under 3:35 which was an arbitrary goal but gave me something to aim for. I finished with some fist pumps. A new PB, 3:34:01, almost 6 minutes faster than 4 weeks ago. I honestly never thought I could run that time. I’m hugely grateful to all my friends at @albertparkrunau and in the #SeoulFkyers running club. Every one of you who has run with me or congratulated me has inspired me. I truly appreciate it. Congratulations to everyone else who participated today. It was an awesome event. For context, I finished 1 hour and 20 minutes behind the male winner today. I’m not an elite runner. But marathons are an immense mental challenge that takes months to prepare for. A special thanks then to @J0anneWatkins for her patience with all my training but also for her genuine enthusiasm and support. I couldn’t have done this without you. Right now, I’m lying in bed but I’ve got 10 hours before I’ll be on a flight to Seoul. I’m sure I’ll sleep well. @melbmara #melbmara

@jacksondavey @RileyJThompson7 What do you expect when you dish out such one-sided, salty waffle, then try to justify yourself not being biased? GWS got away with mith murder the whole night. The umpiring in this sport is a fucking circus.

@AFL The team with the highest attendance record playing a fellow Victorian side is given the mid week slot, while Carlton playing an intestate side gets the Friday night "blockbuster" slot. The @AFL is the laughing stock of sport.

@IncrediblyBozza Greene or Degoey, and it's a week. Carlton, get a free ride with the MRO, and if not, their lawyers will handle it.

@MattHead16_ @FOXFOOTY The player awarded the mark must bring it back into play. That did not happen. The ball was brought back into play by another player. Boundary throw-in. It's very simple.

@ING_Aust response after 35 days of nothing and admitting we lost money from fraudellant transactions due to their security being compromised. Absolute zero care for their customers. FYI @CommBank holds any new transfers 24hrs for these reasons. #ingfraud #zerofucksgiven
